WIKILEAKS: Hillary Got $12 Million for Clinton Charity As Quid Pro Quo For Morocco Meeting

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arranged a $12 million donation from Moroccan King Mohammed VI to her family’s charity in 2014 in return for the Clinton Global Initiative hosting its international meeting in the North African Muslim nation, according to an email made public Thursday by Wikileaks.

The Moroccan monarch’s funds went to the Clinton Foundation’s endowment and to CGI. The Jan. 18, 2015, email was included in Wikileaks’ latest batch of communications to and from Clinton’s presidential campaign chairman, John Podesta.

The email from Huma Abedin, Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff at the State Department, was addressed to Podesta and campaign manager Robby Mook. Hillary Clinton was a director of the foundation at the time.

Congratulations... only an equal or lesser standard of ethics would be gleeful to see such a potus. There has never been a candidate at this stage so compromised. What an evil person......learn your latin and understand the legal threshold for the same as a matter of doing something which smells of corruption. Actually read the Supreme Court decision in Citizens to realize the Supreme Court standard that the mere donation of political funds is NOT quid pro quo........therefore it is Quid pro incognita, but go ahead and tell me how you will prove a prima facie case......there is not one. The Clinton Foundation has done incredible things, but even if it was a foundation to benefit the razorback mascot, the legal requirements are not even in the same zip code as the idiots who suggest the same. If you want to use an argument that it raises ethical questions as to perception, that is fair, but Quid Pro Quo......nope that takes a propaganda accelerator with no basis in fact....stupid posts what stupid does not know.

"Just to give you some context, the condition upon which the Moroccans agreed to host the meeting was her participation. If hrc was not part if it, meeting was a non-starter. CGI also wasn't pushing for a meeting in Morocco and it wasn't their first choice. This was HRC's idea, our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approx $12 million both for the endowment and to support the meeting. It will break a lot of china to back out now when we had so many opportunities to do it in the past few months."

Bill and Hillary wanted a deep-pocketed donor to make a large contribution and foot the bill for a ritzy conference, and the king of Morocco wanted access to the woman who, then as now, was the leading candidate to be the next president of the United States. The Clintons didn’t apparently care that, as the Post noted, Morocco had a spotty record on human rights. The State Department has cited the Moroccan government for widespread corruption, and the government-owned mining company that paid for the CGI meeting has been cited for its own human-rights abuses.
