I consider myself a liberal minded person. But in the matter of Crime and Punishment I think we are far to easy on criminal.
Prison should be a place nobody in their right mind wants to be sent.
The death penalty should be what it is. It should be carried out immediately if a criminal is clearly guilty or makes an admission of guilt.
The death penalty should automatic if a criminal commits a crime with a firearm.
But I don't believe the legal profession will allow it. Court activities and law suits are hog heaven for lawyers and all of our Congress are lawyers who know they will eventually return to work some day.

Normal citizens lives are disrupted by criminals every day. We read about and mostly just hope and pray it doesn't happen to us. I think we need to wake up do something.
