Chicago Tribune Endorses Gary Johnson for President as ‘Principled Option’

The Chicago Tribune has endorsed Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson for president saying he was a “principled choice” for the nation’s top job.
Joining the list of newspapers making unusual choices for endorsements for the 2016 election, Chicago’s somewhat conservative paper decided not to endorse the GOP nominee for president and instead picked the Libertarian Party candidate, Gary Johnson.

In choosing Johnson, the editorial board of the Tribune noted that millions of Americans “yearn” to be able to vote for someone other than the nominees for the two major parties and so, decided Johnson was a principled choice.

The real story is that the Tribune for the last 100 years has given almost a 100% endorsement to Republicans......they withheld the endorsement from Trump....and you do not even understand the same and started this thread......you definitely have the credentials to be a Trump voter.

Chicago’s somewhat conservative paper decided

Having visited Col. McCormick's home as a child, is rolling over in his grave having his ultra right wing conservative paper being called somewhat conservative........geez..........idiocy. The story is that Donald Trump once again got a pass on an endorsement from conservative newspapers.......it has nothing to do with Hillary or the Democrats........for a Stupid who claims to have been born in Chicago, you should know that the Sun Times would be endorsing Hillary.......hell would freeze over if the Tribune endorsed her.

They endorsed Gary Johnson??  This is the same Gary Johnson who, in recent interviews, had never heard of Aleppo, and couldn't name one world leader he particularly admired until he stumbled around for a while, looking desperately toward his VP candidate to rescue him, and finally came up with "Merkle"?  THIS is the man the Trib wants to endorse for the position of leader of the most powerful nation on Earth??   Un-blanking-believably idiotic.  

On the other hand, yeah, at least they didn't endorse Trump.  But they'd've been smarter not to endorse anyone rather than support Johnson.   I mean,  has anyone here actually LISTENED to the man speak on the issues??   He's a lightweight with some really "out there" ideas.  Scares me almost as much as Trump only in a completely different way.

This thread shows you how fricking stupid the average Trump voter is...........apparently Mr. Markle qualifies as one of those uneducated Trump followers......to post that Hillary would be upset losing the Tribune endorsement......you have to be some kind of stupid to post this thread........and not even recognizing that it was Trump who got slammed......but then again you have to have a high school diploma to vote for Hillary. We all know that all you need to be is a cute blonde to sell real estate.

Yes, Johnson may be a beer or two short of a six pack but at least his VP choice Bill Weld exhibits some good common sense.

WELD: I’m not sure anybody’s more qualified than Hillary Clinton to be President of the United States. I mean, that’s not the end of the inquiry, though.

Weld goes on to agree that he is concerned with the threat of a Trump presidency "That's for darn sure!"
