Hillary and George Washington have Much in Common

By the time Washington was about to be handed the first Presidency, he was fabulously wealthy and no longer driven by the need to acquire more material goods or property. This is the same Washington who helped foment the revolution from the standpoint of pure, unadulterated personal acquisition of raw land and wealth. Letters from Washington to his close friend surveyor William Crawford in 1767 absolutely confirm that George Washington was determined to overturn English rule because the King's Proclamation of 1763 stopped wealthy investors like himself from acquiring raw Indian lands that could be sub-divided and sold through land companies like the Ohio Company -- of which Washington was the principal share holder.

Hillary and Bill have acquired immense wealth and the influence that comes with it. They don't need any more money. The desire for more money no longer drives either one of them.

The remarkable thing about Washington after he had won the Presidency, was that he really did work as hard as he could to make America better. He dedicated himself meat and bone to that task and did a brilliant and noble job.

I wonder? There's no question Hillary is rich, intelligent and capable. If she wins the Presidency, she will have the most powerful job in the world. Her long involvement with children's causes, healthcare and other good works suggests that like George Washington, as President she might do an outstanding amount of good.

As for Trump, he doesn't need money either. Only his background shows an unbroken string of ripping people off through legal trickery and bankruptcies and scams and now a growing tie with overt racist groups, and a clear indication of his own deep rooted racism (his history of not renting to blacks, or blocking them from employment at his hotels and casinos, etc.). What good will this bastard do in the White House?

Personally, I'd like to see Liz Warren or Bernie Sanders as President, but if restricted to Hillary or Trump, Hillary is my candidate.

Down with white supremacy.

She's flawed in corrupt ethical ways... including the kneejerk to use military interventions.

It really doesn't matter what she says now.

She could just retire and continue the good work of the Foundation. Why is she putting herself through the wringer? I believe she cares, just like she says, about the future of our country and ALL the people in it. She knows the ropes, both nationally and internationally. She may not be the most riveting speaker around, but she's far and way superior, not only to Trump, but to the other candidates in the GOP "deep bench".

Agreed. Her stopping Trump from inhabiting the White House alone will probably make her one of the brightest lights of this century.

Well... he had false teeth... and everything coming out of her mouth is false. That's where the similarities end.

Gee, I thought they shaved and covered up her beard pretty well.
