Not from the rumor mill are articles I have read that it is standard procedure for the State Department to step back with their investigations when the FBI is investigating the same case.
I think the State Department is happy to step away, they're viewed as far more political than the FBI.
I can't imagine all the pressure being put on the FBI and State Department from both Lame Duck President Obama and the entire Clinton Cabal.
