I watched the opening statements before going back to other things (like fixing a website I own).
My impressions first noted which of the debaters was the most plastic. That honor goes to Ted Cruz. Not only does he sound plastic, the way he is made-up tonight makes him look like he is made out of polyethylene. The next most plastic person is Carly Fiorina, followed by our own Marco Rubio.
Fiorina and Rubio must have spent hours memorizing and practicing their opening statements. What each of them uttered came from their speech-writers; not their own minds. Cruz also recited something he did not write himself.
They are finally talking about the economy instead of going after ISIS or Syria for a change, but it is the same old Republican junk--i.e., who is going to gut everything Obama has created, and who is going to cut taxes the most, while making our armed forces much larger than they already are (largest in the world).

That applies to all the republican candidates and Hillary.
Doesn't apply to Bernie Sanders or Rand Paul. And Trump has said things to indicate it probably doesn't apply to him either.

Let's face facts, there isn't a single candidate who has all the right stuff. Bernie has some great ideas but also a bunch of outlandish ideas. None of these clowns can make all of their promises and threats come true, we have the perfect example in office right now.
HRC is as much (or more of a hawk) than the R candidates. Witness bombing the crap out of Libya then walking away from the problem.

That's absolutely true. But he's adamant that he wants the "greatest ever" military only to act as a deterent. And he wants to streamline that "greatest ever" military so it aint buying trillion dollar aircraft nobody wants and pissing away the money on so much other horseshit.
Then he follows that with pretty much the same thing I've been saying. He thinks our being bogged down forever in the Middle East to accomplish worse than nothing is insane. And he says let Putin play sucker for a change like I do. And see how many of HIS airliners are taken out for a change.
I'm with him on it.

When it comes to Middle eastern strategy, I'm with Trump.
He admits invading Iraq was the dumbest move we've made in two centuries. And he applauds Putin for getting Russia involved fighting Islamic terrorism in Syria. Trump says we should send Putin arms and encouragement and stay the hell out of the fight ourselves.
Bernie feels much the same, as do I.
Hillary's a hawk and still too connected to the neocons.
If it ends up her against Trump, I'll vote

We have one thing to look forward to with a President Trump.
He wants to go down in history as the greatest president who ever lived.
Anything short of that would be the worst defeat his ego could ever suffer.
So more than any other human being alive, that world's biggest ego would do anything he could to avoid that kind of defeat and disgrace.
That's some powerful motivation.
Of course, that was also Hitler's motivation. So it is a little risky.
But hell we only live once. And regardless of how that turns out, I don't want to have to say "I wonder how Trump would have done?" I want to see it unfold in front of my eyes. lol

WTH is wrong with you people? You'd rather see the spectacle than vote for what's good for the country? I don't understand that...and I spent quite a few years in the advertising business. Maybe that's why I see through a lot of the crap. We wake up in the morning to someone trying to sell us something. All day long, every day, unless we shut it off, we will be subjected to advertising 24/7/365...cradle to the grave. Please think about that, because it matters. Turn the sh*t off. Do something else with your time.
Those stats you posted are telling. People can no longer distinguish whether what they're watching or listening to is real or not. I truly believe that. A very large number of people are brainwashed by exposure to constant lies. The lying has become so commonplace that we almost seem to expect it from our presidential candidates. While there are points that Trump has made that I fully agree with -- especially the idea of helping Russia fight ISIS instead of jumping into the fray -- Trump's totally insane "we're going to gently round-up all twelve million and ship-em back to Mexico," is simply too racist and too Nazi for socialists like me. I do agree also with Trump's comments about our negotiators -- in every branch of government -- acting like sheer amateurs.
And it appears Trump is as much against the damages corporations do to our democracy with their lobbyists, as is my hero Bernie.
So if it ends up Hillary vs. any of the current 87,604 republican candidates, I'll just stay home.
