Isn't that wonderful? Think of all the war costs, medical costs, educational costs, infrastructure repair costs 2.1 trillion would pay for. Isn't it good to know who your enemies are? I want a full list, so I know what never to buy again ... don't you?

Where was that money produced? Was something done illegally or even unethically? What business is it of ours?

How is it hidden?

If you earned $100,000.00 in Mexico and paid all applicable taxes on the money in Mexico, enjoyed vacationing and spending money in Mexico, would you bring the money to Pace and pay $37,000.00 in taxes? Highest corporate taxes in the world.

As you know too, the corporations do not pay the taxes, the purchasers of their products pay the taxes. Therefore very low, people on welfare or truly disabled pay exactly the same in taxes as the very high income people.

Wordslinger STRONGLY SUPPORTS, but wants it below the radar, that high taxes on the poor is fine with him, just so it is HIDDEN.

What did I post which is NOT FACTUAL? You won't even admit who pays corporate taxes. Please, stop whining and man up.

Corporations pay taxes which any freshman general business student can tell you are distributed to the government from gross profits which after distribution are either kept as retained earnings, paid as bonuses to employees and management, or issued as dividends to shareholders. The Corporation pays the tax from profits, which if not paid get distributed as outlined. Duh.

Nonsense, a corporation cannot exist without profit. Very few corporations would make enough in profits to pay 37% of their profits to the government.

Where does that money come from anyway. Consumers.

You wouldn't do it either would you? Say you made $100,000. in Mexico after you had paid all required taxes on that money. You could either use that money in Mexico, or you could bring it to Illinois and pay $37,000 to the government.

Nonsense. A gross profit is more revenues than expenses. A corporation distributes a net profit, keeps retained earnings, or invests in employees compensation or capital expenditures.......If the CEOs are now getting forty times the ratio they received in 1970, is the argument that consumers pay for that?......so we should drop compensation.....Please admit you have never taken a college economics course......it is obvious.

Corporations are simply a legal fiction which allows an entity to be created by law, and that entity uses roads, infrastructure, and is protected from other nations by our defense expenditures and they need to pay their fair share which has dropped since we had little debt in the 70s.

Where do corporations get the every dime they use to pay expenses, salaries, TAXES, the stockholders, YOU if you have any retirement plans, mutual funds or anything else? Where does it come from?

The corporation already pays PROPERTY TAXES on their facilities, parking lots and all which are local taxes and pay for roads, schools, parks and such.

Why do you and Wordslinger demand that the lowest paid among us pay more and more in taxes?

Corp tax may feeeel good... but in reality it's just a circuitous consumption tax. Which no leftist would support.

Notice how the subject changed when the original populist topic went down in flames... lol.

2seaoat throws out things he doesn't even believe himself. IF he does, then it makes it obvious he never owned a business or had a job where he was responsible to run anything and turn a profit. He has no clue what the net profit is in most industries.

And yes, to Progressives corporate taxes feel wonderful. Secretly they must love the idea that the poor take the worst beating and the well off to super rich pay the least.
