Tell him not to kill me. I'm not about to get married to anybody, woman or man.

The rights of the individual supersede the rights of a group, even an organized group like a church, that seek to diminish that individual's rights...it's in the Constitution. You should read it some time. Also a little judicial history.

Because they're convinced that our country was founded on what's written in the Bible. And when a law comes along that's in conflict with that, it's a repudiation of their god and that constitutes a threat to their religion being in charge of the laws and they believe that constitutes a threat to them personally.
Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen (Muslims); and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan (Mohammedan) nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

You are correct today due to the recent Supreme Court ruling and due to the workaround being employed in Kim Davis's district. Prior to the ruling and prior to Kim Davis being sent to jail; however, you would be wrong.

Very true. No different than the term "civil rights" which of course meant "black rights".
In this country no minority has more rights than any other. Our system of government doesn't even recognize the concept of "minorities". The "rights" our system was designed to protect belong to each person as an individual.
So if our rights were meant for a minority, it's a minority of one.
