Hmmmmm does China own any interests in vegas casinos? Seriously though, China has to be getting something for this deal and I bet the Vegas casinos are gonna finance a lot of it. I wonder though it if will include a stop in Pahrump? LOL. Yep, you know what's there gents....

You really have trouble with simple conceptual things. First, there are currently two leaders in high speed rail in the world. The Chinese and the Japanese. I have reported here that the Japanese built two manufacturing plants in Rochelle Illinois which hired about 500 people and they are making commuter train cars assembled and partially manufactured in America. Unfortunately, they were counting on beating the Chinese and announced last week they will be laying off one hundred employees.

Factories are being built by foreign countries which are training our workers in the latest welding technology and producing real wealth. That particular high speed corridor will be a huge success. It will have American content, American jobs, and will bring far more efficiency getting people to Vegas.

You are too freakin' serious old man. Get over yourself. The entire Vegas economy is just like our own- service industry oriented, dependent on the HS dropout, and with the drop out rate of Las Vegas schools (almost 50%), it won't be turning into a silicon valley anytime soon.

It is serious. The guy who used to load my dump truck at a quarry got laid off because of the downturn. He got hired at that Japanese plant. He got trained. He is making good money and supporting his family. They are talking about laying off one hundred people. He may be one of those people because of the Japanese losing this bid. The Japanese have invested in America. America gets stronger with fair trade deals. I am serious because these issues take intelligence and understanding which help shape our policies. I am tired of idiocy. I saw nothing but the same last night. I saw Trump end his political career tonight. There is no coward who will be President of the United States. Donald Trump is a coward. John McCain is a hero. It was not his military service which folks like you think matters.....it is John's character which shines.

TPP isn't a fair deal

TPP isn't a fair deal

Then vote for Bernie. I happen to believe trade is good. It is not a zero sum game and often two nations can win, but clearly one nation gets more. What keeps it fair is honest currency and rabid monitoring of illegal dumping. Trade works, enforcement though is hard work.
