The newly released financial files on Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton's growing fortune omit a company with no apparent employees or assets that the former president has legally used to provide consulting and other services, but which demonstrates the complexity of the family's finances.

Because the company, WJC, LLC, has no financial assets, Hillary Clinton's campaign was not obligated to report its existence in her recent financial disclosure report, officials with Bill Clinton's private office and the Clinton campaign said. They were responding to questions by The Associated Press, which reviewed corporate documents.

Federal disclosure rules require the spouses of filers to disclose the identity of any income sources over $1,000, but they do not have to provide exact figures.

Fricking idiocy.....read the damn links. There is zero violation of ethics or the law. Zero. They are and remain in full compliance. Does Clinton make a chit load of money for speeches.....yep.....when will these sophomoric propaganda techniques stop. There was not violation of ethics or law for ANYBODY to blame an accountant for something which did not happen.......this is getting pathetic......do you think people cannot read?

If the contribution is made to the WBC, LLC, the WBC, LLC can then make the contribution to the Clinton Foundation and name the WBC, LLC as the contributor.

The financial web which has been woven by the Clintons shames any spider. Amazing since they are broke.

How Fox News Changed American Media and Political Dynamics

Bruce Bartlett
Independent

May 10, 2015

Abstract:
The creation of Fox News in 1996 was an event of deep, yet unappreciated, political and historical importance. For the first time, there was a news source available virtually everywhere in the United States, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a conservative tilt. Finally, conservatives did not have to seek out bits of news favorable to their point of view in liberal publications or in small magazines and newsletters. Like someone dying of thirst in the desert, conservatives drank heavily from the Fox waters. Soon, it became the dominant – and in many cases, virtually the only – major news source for millions of Americans. This has had profound political implications that are only starting to be appreciated. Indeed, it can almost be called self-brainwashing – many conservatives now refuse to even listen to any news or opinion not vetted through Fox, and to believe whatever appears on it as the gospel truth.

"Earlier this month Bruce Bartlett published a paper titled "How Fox News Changed American Media and Political Dynamics." Bartlett is a veteran conservative operative who worked in both the George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan White Houses. His paper's premise is that Fox News has had a harmful effect on the Republican Party's electoral appeal by herding its already right-wing flock into an even fringier parish where it is shielded from differing views. But his fellow conservatives are utterly incapable of seeing this reality or the harm it causes...

...Bartlett appeared on CNN's Reliable Sources this morning and said...

"I think many conservatives live in a bubble where they watch only Fox News on television, they listen only to conservative talk radio, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, many of the same people. When they go on to the Internet, they look at only conservative websites like National Review, Newsmax, World Net Daily, and so they are completely in a universe in which they are hearing the same exact ideas, the same arguments, the same limited amount of data repeated over and over and over again, and that's brainwashing."

Brainwashing is not too strong a word. Fox News has become the central authority in a cult-like cabal of rightist true-believers who envelope themselves in the scripture as preached by Fox. This has been proven by in-depth studies that show how conservatives have drastically constrained their news sources to a narrow collection of like-minded, far-right outlets. There's an implicit belief that exposure to a contrary ideological creed would be a breach of faith and a mortal sin.

It is encouraging, therefore, to see a conservative with an open mind and the ability to recognize the toxic role that Fox has played in the media and in politics. Bartlett's paper is an interesting and well-documented read. However, it took him long enough to come to these conclusions. News Corpse published an analysis of how "Fox News Is Killing The Republican Party" six years ago, with an update expanding on the theme last year. I wrote in part that...

Fox has corralled a stable of the most disreputable, unqualified, extremist, lunatics ever assembled, and is presenting them as experts, analysts, and leaders. These third-rate icons of idiocy are marketed by Fox like any other gag gift (i.e. pet rocks, plastic vomit, Sarah Palin, etc.) [...and that...] Fox is driving the center of the Republican Party further down the rabid hole. They are reshaping the party into a more radicalized community of conspiracy nuts. So even as this helps Rupert Murdoch’s bottom line, it is making celebrities of political bottom-feeders. That can’t be good for the long-term prospects of the Republican Party...."
