This year's sea ice extent is substantially higher than last year's record low minimum. On Sept.16, 2012, Arctic sea ice reached its smallest extent ever recorded by satellites at 1.32 million square miles (3.41 million square kilometers). That is about half the size of the average minimum extent from 1981 to 2010

If I'm undecided on this,  do you know why that is?
It's for the same reason that I would have difficulty accepting anything Rush Limbaugh said about science.

For me,  Gore was an equally silly point man for "global warming".  Hell,  Gore is the reason I voted for Bush in 2000.  That was a vote against Gore,  not a vote for Bush.

Do me a favor.  Next time the country begins to debate an environmental issue of this significance,  please tell the political and media celebrities to keep their mouths shut and let actual science professionals do the talking.
