Unfortunately I read the whole page,  tex.  I now wish I could get those ten minutes of my life back.
I listen to an hour or two of Alex Jones every night before he eventually puts me to sleep.  That's enough of this ilk for any one human being to have to be subjected to. Any more than that is downright mentally painful.

A little off-topic question for Sal. I notice that most of the time you write your posts with big bold fonts. Why does this one have such timid fonts? lol

You must be reading on a mobile device.

I'm not sure why the font looks different on those, but it does.

No actually I was reading it on my PC.  And when I read it yesterday that one post was in midget size non bolded fonts.  But today on the same PC the same post is back to the larger bold fonts.
I'm not hallucinating either.  It was just one of those idiocracies of computers and the internet tubes I guess.

Bob that is NSA modulating your throughput.....they usually do not peek, but you are talking with Sal......so Pace turned both of you in and they are changing fonts to increase your paranoia and discredit you in the future.

I figured sooner or later the NSA would give me some grief.  It's probably considered a treasonus act to not like democrats or republicans either one.
Anybody that fits that description is most likely considered to be an enemy of the government.

I know,  bds.  When people get murdered I've seen the survivors say stuff like that before.  It's nothing new. And it's usually attributed to some notion of what Jesus would do.

But the problem with all that is it IS NOT Ursula Ward who is the one planted in the ground.  It's Odin Lloyd who IS the one whose life was taken and is now six feet under.
And unfortunately we can no longer get the opinion of Odin about "forgiveness" because he's dead.

If someone murders me I hope and pray none of my friends or relatives will say horseshit like you quoted.  I'll go on record now (while I'm still alive) to say very clearly that I don't want nobody to forgive nothin.

Yes I know,  In the minds of you and seaoat this makes me the real monster and a lot worse monster than any son of a bitch who murders me.  And I couldn't care less about that.

Hospital Bob

I'm sure,  bds,  that after reading that crap you quoted that you're now wanting to forgive Bush and Cheney for all the unneccesary deaths (of both Americans and Iraqis) they caused by invading Iraq.    And of course you're wanting to forgive that cop in South Carolina for shooting the man in the back who was running away from him.

So let's see you post now and say "I forgive Bush and Cheney and that South Carolina cop and I pray and hope that someday everyone out there will forgive them also."

Otherwise,  your last post was just meaningless.

Bob, you are a gentle kind man who talks a good game about being this cruel vengeful man, but your compassion and care of your mother told me long ago that you are a special person, and letting off a little steam only shows your frustration with evil people in this world. So no I will never consider you a monster, however I will always remind you of your prejudice and fear......which we all have. but each of us should strive for a fair game.

Hospital Bob

How bout you,  seaoat.  Why aren't you forgiving Bush and Cheney for all the death and misery they caused?  Why aren't you saying you hope and pray everybody else forgives them too?

And when butchmeup starts another bullshit war I expect to see you post to say you forgive him too.  lol

Dear Dzhokhar Tsarnaev,

My name is Rebekah Gregory. We don't really know each other and never will. But over the last two years, I have seen your face not only in pictures, but in almost every one of my nightmares. Moments before the first blast, your stupid backpack even brushed up against my arm, but I doubt you remember because I am no one to you. A complete stranger. And although I was merely just a blip on your radar, (someone that happened to be standing 3 feet from your designated "good spot" for a bomb), you have been so much more to me. Because you have undoubtedly been my source of fear since April 15th, 2013. (After all, you are one of the men responsible for nearly taking my child, and for the permanent image embedded in my brain of watching someone die.) Up until now, I have been truly scared of you and because of this, fearful of everything else people might be capable of.

But today, all that changed. Because this afternoon, I got to walk into a courtroom and take my place at the witness stand, just a few feet away from where you were sitting. (I was WALKING. Did you get that?) And today I explained all the horrific details, of how you changed my life, to the people that literally hold YOURS in their hands. That's a little scary right? And this afternoon before going in, I'm not going to lie..my palms were sweaty. And sitting up there talking to the prosecution did make me cry. But today, do you know what else happened? TODAY...I looked at you right in the face....and realized I wasn't afraid anymore. And today I realized that sitting across from you was somehow the crazy kind of step forward that I needed all along.

And I think that's the ironic thing that happens when someone intends something for evil. Because somehow, some way, it always ends up good. But you are a coward. A little boy who wouldn't even look me in the eyes to see that. Because you can't handle the fact that what you tried to destroy, you only made stronger. And if your eyes would've met mine for just one second, you would've also seen that what you "blew up" really did BLOW UP. Because now you have given me (and the other survivors) a tremendous platform to help others, and essentially do our parts in changing the world for the better.

So yes...you did take a part of me. Congratulations you now have a leg up...literally. But in so many ways, you saved my life. Because now, I am so much more appreciative of every new day I am given. And now, I get to hug my son even tighter than before, blessed that he is THRIVING, despite everything that has happened.

So now...while you are sitting in solitary confinement, (awaiting the verdict on your life), I will be actually ENJOYING everything this beautiful world has to offer. And guess what else? I will do so without fear....of YOU. Because now to me you're a nobody, and it is official that you have lost. So man that really sucks for you bro. I truly hope it was worth it.

Rebekah Gregory, 27, and Pete DiMartino, 30, were standing near the finish line of the 2013 marathon watching his mom run the race when the two bombs went off. Gregory ultimately lost her left leg – after 17 surgeries, it was amputated in November – while DiMartino lost 90 percent of an Achilles tendon and suffered a ruptured eardrum.

Gregory, who tied the knot with DiMartino in Asheville, North Carolina, in a ceremony and reception thrown by TheKnot.com, tells PEOPLE, "After the decision was made to amputate my leg in November, I found myself having to make an even more painful choice – to separate from my husband Pete. Over the last several months I've come to realize that going through such a horrific event together put a fast-forward on our relationship that we each handled differently.

"While my heart is beyond broken, I have a certain peace knowing from day one, I truly gave it my all, and have been fully invested in keeping this marriage, and my commitment before God. I still love Pete with all of my heart and ask that everyone respect our privacy as we try to figure out our next steps. As for now, I am focused on doing what I feel is best for my son and I, and will concentrate my time on healing, both physically and emotionally."

I will have to start with self forgiveness. I voted for Bush twice, and supported the war because I watched the UN speech by General Colin Powell and I believed him. I did not think the books had been cooked. I will live with my mistake and try to be much more skeptical in the future of those who want to kill people in war. I acted in good faith, but I was naive.....never again.

I want to sincerely apologize to everyone reading this for letting you hear from one of the more than two hundred victims of the Boston bombing.
I realize that makes me "cruel and racist" and instead I should be posting to say how forgiving I am of the perp.

Good for you.  But I hope that some day you'll learn to also have the same skepticism for those who want to kill people outside of war.
But it is a start.

My daughter prosecutes criminals......I have always had a healthy skepticism of gangbangers and criminals......I know a great deal about the subject. The individual who was found guilty in Boston is a typical common criminal who is part of a criminal enterprise......nothing new for me. The system works great......conviction after years of people telling us it does not work.

If Tsarnaev is a "typical" violent criminal,  then we're in a world of trouble.
Because in 2011,  an estimated 1,203,564 violent crimes occurred nationwide.
Since Tsarnaev is "typical" of all violent criminals,  and Tsarnaev killed and injured 264 people (many of them losing arms and legs),  that would mean 317 million people were killed or injured by typical violent criminals in 2011.  Almost the entire population of the United States.  So count yourself lucky,  seaoat,  since you and I are among the very few who haven't been killed or injured by violent criminals.  Like they needed a BIGGER boat in Jaws,  we're gonna need a lot bigger supply of prosthetics.

No Bob, again you do not have a clue about gang violence in America. I do. The criminal enterprise has stuff that make this kid look like a piker. Gangs are killing thousands of people a year and terrorizing entire neighborhoods, yet you focus on one event and get your scardy cat on. America is the safest it has been in forty years as far as crime is concerned, but the criminal enterprises around the drug trade are brutal and far more of my concern than terrorism. All the terrorism in the last decade including 911 does not even make a dent on the drug violence in america being perpetrated by criminal enterprises.....I know you got scared to death this past summer with ISIS.....but you are afraid of a water snake, while the moccasin slowly surrounds your neighborhood.

You remind me of some of the kids in junior high,  seaoat.  The ones who loved to tell all the other kids they were "scaredy cats" and "chicken" and "yellow" and all those other juvenile words.

One thing I also remember though,  is that the kids who constantly accused others of all that were always the ones who were actually the most scared.  lol

Well I'm sure we'll all surely need your expertise when we have a thread about gang violence.
But since the Boston Marathon bombing had nothing to do with gang violence, your expertise is irrelevant to this thread.

2seaoat

It had everything to do with criminal gangs.  Because you are racist and xenophobe, you want to make Muslims special.   ISIS is a run of the mill criminal enterprise which grew because the nation state failed as they expanded their influence.  I could go over detail in Colombia, Venezuela, and Mexico where the same criminal elements are behind violence in America, yet you just get upset at those little brown bags of garbage crossing the border fleeing from the very criminal enterprises you fail to recognize.....because as usual you are looking at the color of their skin, religion, or ethnicity.  Boston was a criminal trial Bob.   Criminals are tried in criminal trials.  Every day all over America horrors equal or worse than the Boston bombing are prosecuted by dedicated professionals who recognize real threats......and do not share your scardy cat paradigm......put the dresser in front of the door and get a night light.....your guy was a common criminal.....and no I did not think he was cute.

In the last few posts you've been telling me Tsarnaev is a "typical" criminal and it's all gang related.   And you're accusing me of being a racist who wants to make the Boston bombing be all about muslims and ISIS and Jihad.

But on page one of this very same thread,  you posted two replies to try to convince me the Boston bombing was ALL about muslims and religion.  The posts are numbered,  bud.  Go back and read your posts #4 and #6 on the first page.

In post #4 you say "it was about religion and you should know that".   And then you support that argument by quoting what Tsarnaev wrote while in that boat...

“I’m jealous of my brother who ha[s] [re]ceived the reward of jannutul Firdaus (inshallah) before me. I do not mourn because his soul is very much alive. God has a plan for each person. Mine was to hide in this boat and shed some light on our actions. I ask Allah to make me a shahied (iA) to allow me to return to him and be among all the righteous people in the highest levels of heaven...The US Government is killing our innocent civilians but most of you already know that.
"As a [UI] I can’t stand to see such evil go unpunished, we Muslims are one body, you hurt one you hurt us all. Well at least that’s how muhhammad (pbuh) wanted it to be."

I majored in psychology,  seaoat.  But we'll need your psychology expertise to figure you out.  Are you schizophrenic?  If you are,  my undergraduate degree isn't sufficient to know how to deal with that.  That's gonna need a full blown shrink. lol

Got it.  So link me to any news story from any source,  left-wing, right-wing, broken-wing,  mainstream,  alternative,  Alex Jones, internet,  tv,  newspaper or anything else which will inform me of the crime which was prosecuted today in America which was equal or worse than killing and dismembering and injuring 267 people.  And I'm easy.  If you can't tell me about one which happened today,  then tell me about the one yesterday.  Or the day before.  Or last week.  Or last month.

Hospital Bob

I'm still waiting, seaoat.  You just said it happens every day.
Surely you don't need any more time to remember at least one.  lol
