The budget requests exceed the spending caps established in 2010 by $74 billion spread evenly between military and non-military discretionary spending.........the military budget should be greatly reduced incrementally and over a span of ten years......other things are right for the most part, but not cutting the military budget by more is totally unexpected.

It's already been reduced to the bone as we speak. Sequestration took care of that. It was the only item in the budget that took a hit.

Hardly. You were still a pimply-faced teen when DOD lived off of the post-Vietnam and pre-Reagan defense budgets. The mantra back then was "cut it, we can't afford it, and they don't need it." Those budgets were quite small, but we got by--facing a super-power who was nuclear-armed.

I don't believe you would know "reduced to the bone" if you saw it.
