They are a threat.....

Reportedly, many of these women are being imprisoned in schools in Mosul.
I have a feeling ISIS has overplayed its hand badly, and is about to receive some severe backlash.

But not an imminent threat.
Approval of Congress could have been asked for instead of taking the possibility of inciting another conflict in a country that we were supposed to be out of and at peace with.

NOT an imminent threat? February 26, 1993, Osama bin Laden, along with other clerics declared war on the United States.
What was the result?
ISIS has sworn that they will fly their flag over the White House. At the same time they are brutally murdering thousands of men, women and children. Beheading them, gunning them down even crucifying children.
And you don't consider them an eminent threat? Really?

One drone and a special forces control team with a B1 bomber package would easily decapitate this snake.
The Peshmerga and Sunni elders could clean up the leftovers.
Flag over the White House?
Homey, .... puhleese.
Their advanced weapon system is a Toyota.

Bunch of fucking hype and horror stories.
The MIC is beating mightily on the war drums, and I can only hope that Obama resists dancing to the rhythm.

Are they flying their flag over the White House?
Are they waging war on US soil?
Until then it is only a threat.
The war was declared over and we had withdrawn with the sovereign governments approval. Unfortunately people are dying in another country.
Does that give the current president the right to take matters into his own hands and involve us again?

Benghazi, our soil.
Yep, makes sense to wait until they attack us on our soil instead of destroying them in Iraq and Syria.
How did that work on 9/11/2001?
