In the era of steroids......somebody who quietly and correctly made it to 7th on HR list

Have watched this man for years modestly and quietly dominate. I heard Bob Costas dis him, as if he was not flashy enough......well seventh on the all time list is a first vote hall of fame.

Yep and his team still couldn't beat the Braves to win that series in 1995.

He played forever.... Of course he is going to have a lot of hits. Same thing with Ripken who should have never broken Gherigs streak of games played..... Cal was
Batting w blow the Mendoza line many games of that streak towards the end. It had to be all about him and to heck with HS team

Jim quietly did a great deal of charitable work. A great baseball player and a good man. I am happy that Cleveland honored him.
