I am losing patience with the pope
I am rapidly losing patience with Pope Francis.
As Rush aptly put it, he’s a socialist and a communist as evidence by the fact he gave up his limo to ride the bus and all he cares about are poor people.
When asked about gay marriage, he said “who am I to judge.” Not a very good example for the Catholic faithful. Any Baptist preach¬er will tell you that homosexuality is a sin. Then he went on to approve communion for divorced people. He trans¬forming the church as Obama is transforming the good ole U S of A. He’s just making it up as he goes along.
But these pale in comparison to canonizing Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II. They don’t qualify for saint¬hood because they only produced one miracle each, but Francis decided to waive the second miracle. I know the pope is infallible, but does he really have the power to waive the miracle qualifications for sainthood? That should be left to Him. Francis is lowering the standards for sainthood. None of this is fair to all of the Catholics who have produced one miracle in their lifetime, but never got to be a saint.

My gun
Today I opened my front door wide and placed my Winchester Model 97 shotgun right in the doorway. I gave it four shells, left it alone and went about my business.
While I was gone, the mailman delivered the mail, the trash man picked up the trash, a neighbor walked her dog, and neighbors drove past.
After about an hour or so, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting where I had left it. It hadn’t killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so. In fact, it hadn’t even loaded itself.
Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people. Either the media are wrong and it is misuse of guns by criminals, or I have one of the laziest shotguns ever made. I have to hurry off and check on my spoons, I hear they are making people fat.

God’s justice
Regarding the long slow agonizing death of the murderer in Oklahoma: After looking up how Stephanie Neiman was murdered; after being made to watch her grave being dug; shot twice with a shotgun; and being buried alive, I submit it was God’s way of telling him, “Yes, you are going to hell, but you are going to take the long way there, paying dearly for what you have done.”
God is indeed just.
