Flooding!!!

Someone just drowned in a flooded car on 29 in cantonment

about 10 minutes ago there were 14 water rescues on submerged cars going on

Woodbine @ 90 is under water and closed. They said there are parts of Michigan (close to W Street) that are flooded and the water is as high as the car windows.

Two confirmed fatalities.

Who is confirming this?  One of the local tv stations just reported that the
authorities are saying the drowning death is a rumor.

And WEAR is saying they're getting it from Escambia Co. Sheriff's Dept.

I hope they stay put. My friend's son got stuck nearby on 90, water coming into his stalled out car.

Those photos are from WEAR's facebook page. The one showing the burger king says it's the burger king on Brent Lane across from Pensacola Christian College. The first one has the caption "Burger King on 29".
That could either be two different burger kings, one on Brent Lane and one
on 29 in Gonzalez. Or it could be the same one who knows.

Escambia County Sheriff, David Morgan, says the Sheriff's Office is only answering emergency calls right now. That means, only life-threatening situations. He also noted that they have several towers down and that is affecting communications. He asks that everyone stay off the roads and wait for the storm to pass, as there are several roads flooded. Again, the ECSO only answering life-threatening calls.

I feel for first responders and utility crews.
