Question: I don't recall getting any sample ballots in the mail this time. Did any of you?

The wife and I voted by mail. She took the absentee ballots to the Jordan Street post office yesterday afternoon to make sure they would get to David Stafford by today.

FT, you can go here; http://escambiavotes.com/ click on "Sample Ballot" then enter your last name, DOB and house number to pull up a sample ballot for your precinct.

Z, I sent my absentee ballots back via mail and according to the above website they were received by Stafford's office on August 1st.

I never vote absentee, but I have always received sample ballots (which also serve to notify voters to appear) in the mail. I didn't get any.

You don't have to vote absentee. My point was that you can download a sample ballot from the website, not just to vote absentee.

We voted by mail for the first time. It used to be complicated to get a 'vote by mail' ballot but now they are encouraged.

Yep it is easy. You can sign up at the escambiavotes.com to receive absentee ballots automatically. I find it much easier than requesting one each time.
