Now the missile launch officers are being accused of cheating on their monthly proficiency exams. Sixteen officers were caught up in the cheating scandal (texting answers to each other), while 18 more were sanctioned for knowing about the brewing scandal and keeping silent about it. Some of this came about from the ongoing investigation concerning drug use among missile officers, and two of those caught up in the cheating scandal are also members of the accused in the drug scandal.

But not to fear! The Air Force is going to take care of scandal within its officer ranks by teaching them proper etiquette at the USAF Academy.

I guess the USAF feels that through its ‘Social Decorum Training Program’ at the Air Force Academy, it will instill the character that seems to be lacking in many of its officers. Well, at least they should be able to distinguish a salad fork from a dinner fork….

Do you really want me to go into the latest cheating and sex scandals at the USNA? I don't think you do. RAPE is one of the latest crimes there.

I will tell you, PDog, I served with a number of Boat School grads during my time, and I don't think I was overly impressed with any of them. When I did my grunt-tour (1980), we had a company commander who was a West Point grad who interservice-transferred to the Marines. He didn't last a year in his position.

Service acadamies breed some very stellar officers, but they also breed many shitty ones. Narcissism tends to reign in these folks, too. Good old fashioned OCS grads are just as competent, if not better, IMHO.
