The Yugo best describes the Republican Party. It was once a proud party best represented by a corvette or GTO, but now with the crazies making the damn thing......it is a Yugo.

No doubt they'll choose an animal that echoes their own character attributes: Loud, arrogant, aggressive at times, temperamental, and thoroughly stupid. It will be funny seeing political ads and blurbs with a baboon representing the Tea Party (they're actually running the republican show, right?).

They're absolutely right about ditching the elephant avatar. Elephants are intelligent, humble, family-oriented creatures who have a sophisticated social structure -- none of which traits republicans have ever claimed as their own!
