UPS invests in more liquified natural gas fueling stations

UPS (United Parcel Service Inc.) is investing about $50 million in nine new liquefied natural gas fueling stations, all of which will be operational by the end of next year. These new stations will triple the amount of natural gas fueling stations the delivery company has…

UPS has 1,000 natural gas tractors in its fleet, which reduce the company's diesel fuel use by 24 million gallons each year…  It also has about 2,700 other alternative fuel vehicles, including electric and liquid propane gas cars. The new stations will be located around the nation: Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas…
