I just finished watching the movie "Casino". It ranks fifth on the list.

I watched that movie at a theater in Japan when it came out.  My Japanese friends had to read the subtitles.  It was too violent for me and I remember putting my hands over my ears when the baseball bat was being used.......the cracking sound of the bat just made me cringe and sick to think about. I saw this movie in a stadium style theater.  The first stadium theater movie experience I had was in Japan, before those type theaters were built in all of the US markets.   The sound in that theater  was just incredible at the time.  Too much so for me, lol.

Scarface and Eddie Murphy - Delirious are the true pioneers on that list.

I remember going to see them both when I was in high school, and leaving the theaters feeling like my ears were scarred.
