Jesus is a myth. He had many of the same attributes as gods like Horus, Dionysus and Mithra had before him. Nothing new with Jesus.PACEDOG#1 wrote:I'll go hungry first instead of denouncing Jesus.
Gee, I denounced him/her/it and never even got a free hot dog!PACEDOG#1 wrote:I'll go hungry first instead of denouncing Jesus.

Maybe they're hungry because they don't believe in God.bluemoon wrote:Nobody asked them to denounce Jesus. Apparently the government official was concerned about hungry people who may not be believers feeling uncomfortable about going to the food kitchen to receive food.
That problem should be resolved, IMO, by not dispensing government provided food through a private religious charity in the first place. All this goes back to Ronald Reagan who thought the government was as evil as some of the posters on this forum think it is and decided to start privatizing services that the government previously provided.
That's always going to cause problems when the private agency starts telling the government how they plan to do it and there's a conflict with government regulations. Way back when free cheese and flour was first given out it was a government give away, not some church doing the job.
I say we should go back to that and eliminate this problem altogether. If your church wants to make points with the poor and hungry, let the members donate the food themselves.
I'll bet that God has blessed me with more than you have.bluemoon wrote:That's ridiculous.

I had no idea that school bus drivers did so well.bluemoon wrote:And by the way my friend, I'm not broke or hungry either.
And my family loves me too.
I even have some friends who love me.
I don't need a thing in the world that I don't have.
Contrary to anything you may have heard.
I could die happy if I died tonight, knowing that the people that I love actually do love me back.
You can keep your swimming pool. JEALOUSY.
I've got the whole Gulf of Mexico.
Whatever. Pfft.bluemoon wrote:Whatever you think you know about me, you really don't. I'm not going to answer questions you have about an ASSumption you may have made.
Answering questions based on ASSumptions just fortifies the assumption and I rather prefer to deal with reality.
Answering questions based on what you may have heard from some other poster who has made the same assumption is even stupider.
And answering questions made on your ASSumption about my character or my family life when all you've done is listen to stories made up by some other person who is also a stranger to you would be the stupidest thing of all.
It's is simply believing one stranger's word over another.
On an internet forum, of all places.
And that is pretty damned stupid.
Good luck with that getting into heaven stuff. Ain't nobody hungry because God hates them.
If you leave, nobody will follow you. Not even God.bluemoon wrote:The founding fathers never thought poor Americans would need free cheese or flour.
There was an agrarian society back then. People could grow their own food.
Good grief.
Am I being followed around?

I would love to hear your story if you want to share. But no problem if you'd rather not.PACEDOG#1 wrote:Watchers and Boards, he ain't no myth and he's the only reason I am here beyond July 19, 2013.
