Print Font: +-One suspect is dead and another hurt after a homeowner returned gunfire in a home invasion in Accomack County Wednesday night.
Accomack County Sherff Todd Godwin told WAVY.com the shooting occurred around 9:40 p.m. along Marsh Market Road.
Two suspects, a male and female, entered a home. At some point, there was an exchange of gunfire between the suspects and the homeowner.
Godwin said the suspects fled the scene and drove to a nearby store, where investigators found them. The male suspect died and the female suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
