Markle, I am so sorry about your cat. You have mentioned him several times before, so I know you had a tight bond with him. I know there is never a replacement for a pet that has passed, but I have no doubt another cat will adopt you soon. I'll bet word has already hit the street among the stray cat population over there in Tally. 
Seaoat, while I am sad to hear your daughter's dog passed, I am glad to know he was surrounded by family at that time. Thank you for letting us know the outcome, sad thought it is.
For both of you: Trite as it sounds, please remember the Rainbow Bridge. When our times come, we, too pass over that bridge to be reunited with our pets. And no, our pets don't sit over there and mourn in loneliness. Instead, they have a blast playing with all the other pets while they wait. They are young once more, and healthy. But when they spy us coming over the bridge.....ahhhh!
