Isn't that what hospitals do already to determine if the treatment; whether it's a organ transplant, artificial heart, etc...; is worth the time doing?

Why do you feel it's more humane to cage a wild animal that's proven that it can't live domestically and will most likely fight with and kill it's fellow captives once put in the cage?
