My position:  In the past at least he was saying stupid but entertaining soundbites.  So I guess that earned him the minimum wage or something.
But now he's not even doing that anymore.

He has been busy explaining how to protect yourself and home with a firearm. He said you don't need an assault rifle.... when a double barrel shotgun works.

Biden says for us to fire shotguns into the air.
This guy is prosecuted for doing what Biden says to do.
What do you think the odds are that if Biden did it he'd be prosecuted too? I'd say about as long as the odds of me winning the Powerball.

Just more double standards everywhere you turn. lol

Nope....Biden didn't say fire it in the air......Biden said " Jill, if there’s ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here, walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house,"

I think he ought to sue Biden for giving that advice. But it would be our luck that the taxpayers would have to pay the judgement. lol

I guess all that qualifies as a continuation of the nonsensical soundbites.
And as I said,  that part of his job does probably justify a minimum wage.
Although there's a lot more value in what a McDonald's employee does than spewing nonsensical soundbites.  They actually make us meals.
So the more I think about it,  what Biden does is more like just a hobby.  So I'm not sure that even qualifies for the minimum wage or any wage.
If occasionally saying stupid stuff was actually a job, then all of us here would be getting paid too. lol

This is the mansion he gets to live in free.  I'll bet you money the  sequestration did  not cause any one of his staff or gardeners or other servants to be let go.  You know,  the same sequestration which dictated that we cannot even visit our own fucking white house anymore.  lol

Biden to Take Third Vacation of the Year

Vice President Biden today is enjoying his third vacation of the year, a five day sojourn on South Carolina’s luxurious Kiawah Island, where he will no doubt partake of his favorite pastime, golf.

Biden and his wife Jill arrived on the island – known as a golf mecca – Thursday night and are not scheduled to depart before Monday.

Biden’s trip is the latest episode in a bout of rampant vacationing by the First and Second Families, who have been roaring out of Washington this year on taxpayer-funded excursions even as the deficit mounts and the sequester axes jobs and critical spending on other priorities.

While both President Obama and Biden pick up some of the tab for their recreational travel, the bulk of the costs –  including flights aboard Air Force One and Air Force Two and security and staff needs – are billed to taxpayers.

Biden should feel especially refreshed when he returns given that he just had a vacation last month in Snowmass, Colorado, where he spent several days over President’s Day weekend. Close by in a neighboring section of Colorado’s ski country was First Lady Michelle Obama, who was taking her second vacation of the year in Aspen.

Over the same President’s Day weekend, President Obama was roving the fairways at an exclusive golf resort in Florida where he got pointers both from Tiger Woods and Tiger’s famous former coach. He and Mrs. Obama had already spent part of late December and early January in Hawaii.

Biden’s first trip this year was a sun worshiping exercise in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he stayed with his family from Friday, January 4 until Tuesday, January 8.

South Carolina is also a crucial presidential primary state that Biden – believed to be strongly considering a run in 2016 – no doubt has his eye on. Biden reportedly will be back in the state in May when he headlines the annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner, a Democratic fundraising event in the state’s capital, Columbia.

But while his presence in South Carolina over the next few days will generate some local publicity, Biden is sticking to rest and relaxation and has no public events scheduled.

But Sal,  you aint that person who's having all the fun with him.  All you are to him or biden is somebody helping paying the bill for it.  lol

Besides,  I imagine Charley Sheen is a lot of fun to be with on vacation too.  But I doubt most people want to have to pay for his vacations either.  lol

He ran for Vice President and won. Same as Dick Cheney, Al Gore, Dan Quayle, George H.W. Bush, Walter Mondale and Nelson Rockefeller.

Do you support his candidacy for president in 2016?

Hillary who else.  Both of those characters have to exhaust their welcome before anybody new will have a chance.

As far as the republicans,  could be Christie but he'll have to lose weight first.

But that's all predicated on the country still being in it's present condition.
By then if it's moved further into deep decline who knows. They could get a hitler or something in there then.

Oh, O.K.

Hillary v Ole Handsome Joe - I dunno, but prolly Joe

Hillary or Ole Handsome Joe v Christie - Definitely Hillary or Joe (but I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell that Christie could win a GOP primary)

Why do you think handsome joe or hillary would DEFINITELY be a better choice for president than Christie? What makes that so definite to you?

Policies.

People get mesmerized by Christie's bully boy persona which makes him seem like a regular guy, but he's just as extreme as Rick Scott or Rick Perry or Scott Walker.

And now for something completely different.
You'll be familiar with the actor Victor Mature,  yella,  but Sal won't because he's too young.

He threw out one of the best lines I have ever read.  He tried to get into a country club and they told him they didn't allow actors in it (that was not uncommon in the past).

His response:  "I'm not an actor — and I've got sixty-four films to prove it!"

Then in 1971 he said this...

"I was never that crazy about acting. I had a compulsion to earn money, not to act. So I worked as an actor until I could afford to retire. I wanted to quit while I could still enjoy life... I like to loaf. Everyone told me I would go crazy or die if I quit working. Yeah? Well what a lovely way to die"

and at one point he summed up his acting career;

"Actually, I'm a golfer. That is my real occupation. I never was an actor. Ask anybody, particularly the critics."

If the day ever comes that a politician is that honest and candid I would like to be around to see it happen.

I know who he is!

He's from Louisville, as I am.

When I was younger, I lived in a house with a backyard which abutted the cemetery in which he is now buried.
