Syria is rapidly turning into another Afghanistan thanks to a constant shift toward rivalry among "rebels" some of whom should more accurately be called insurgents at this point. Now with an apparent chemical attack, the source of which is not clearly known, the situation is rapidly degrading. Syria has chemical munitions - what if those were to fall into the hands of terrorists? This is a very fragile situation with no easy answers. It might be time to identify reliable anti-government forces and provide them more sophisticated weapons - BUT NO TROOPS. Not doing so will be a major impediment should they prevail in parts of the country but not others leading to an even longer civil war with chemical munitions the golden ring.

If rebels have CBRN capability in Syria, you can bet terrorists are not far behind in getting this as well. Sad day. You should define chem weapons though because according to the Geneva Convention, even tear gas is considered a chem weapon.

Excellent....illustrates your inability to comprehend the topic and participate in a discusson...For the record support the use of drone technology(not on American soil unless attacked) and keeping Gitmo open and filled with terrorists or killing them so using your lack of logic simply on party affiliation you should be in disagreement....
