That figure (26million) is from the same CBO report you are using as evidence of failure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You seem pretty sure the 7million data point is accurate.

psst...read the report next time.

Further, I never made any qualifying statements whether it was good or bad. I simply pointed out the obvious facts about one aspect of Obamacare that you seemed to have missed over the last three years. You have an agenda to marginalize the President instead of educating yourself. I'm not offering my final grade until this experiment until I see it in action, but am willing to accept that the CBO report is probably a best guess at this point.

You're correct. He really has no interest in who or how much Obamacare is going to cost. It is all about putting the President down. Just a good ole crank hater.

Yes, it is interesting, thanks. It also makes me wonder how much less complicated this whole health care reform would have been if we'd just gone straight to medicare for all? Or at least start adding people by age working downward from 65?

It certainly would have made more sense to build on the Medicare model since the infrastructure is already in place. I guess that would not have been dramatic enough though.

The Medicare "model" is in far, far worse economic condition than is Social Security. We don't have anywhere near the money or resources now or in he futue for Medicare as it is much less adding MILLIONS of people.

In addition to "free health care" we provide food stamps, housing subsidies, reduced cost internet, free cell phones, medical care, why bother with a job?

Where will this money come from? Please don't say the "RICH", they don't have anywhere NEAR this much money.

Current Debt . . . $16.3 TRILLION Plus the $1.2 TRILLION proposed by President Barack Hussein Obama for 2013. (No budget approved)

Unfunded Liabilities (money we have PROMISED, do not have, nor do we have it coming in)

Social Security. . . . $15.9 TRILLION (10,000 Baby Boomers RETIRE EVERY DAY) (How many workers are entering the job market daily?)

Prescription Drugs .$20.4 TRILLION

Medicare. . . . . . . . $83.4 TRILLION

Total Unfunded Liabilities $120.4 TRILLION!

Number of Households in 2010 = 112,611,029

Unfunded Liability Per household $1,053,398.00

http://www.usdebtclock.org/index.html

PLUS ObamaCare and Untold TRILLIONS more in TAXES

Since far left radical House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took office in January 1, 2007 our debt has increased by $6+ TRILLION.

SIX+ TRILLION since President Barack Hussein Obama took office. With Obama promise of ANOTHER $1.3 TRILLION DEBT FOR 2013.

Why do Progressives DEMAND a far lower standard of living for our children and their children? What makes you so superior, so selfish that you think you deserve far more of what they will earn?

Saddling our children and their children with this massive debt is immoral, indefensible and, as we have seen, the lefties here don’t even try.

Shameful and immoral!

And it wouldn't have passed. So we're instead stuck with the republican "free market solution".

How is that possible since Republicans had no input, whatsoever, were locked out of meetings, ObamaCare did not receive a single Republican vote and the overwhelming majority of voter DO NOT WANT IT.

Nonetheless, we got it crammed up our...throats with bribes, payoffs and most likely blackmail.

Just when I thought I was getting a grasp on this whole thing found this 10 page article that is a must read.

After reading it, people should:
1. Keep their GF plan to avoid the headaches, even if it costs more
2. Drop insurance, and pay the penalty, or claim a hardship
3. Not ask for any advanced subsidies, and get a refund instead (yes, I said refund)

Ex: Someone who loses their job, could be put on medicaid against their wishes, AND have part of their subsidy clawed back. (nothing like salt in the wound)

Ex: You're at 200% FPL and your spouse gets a new high paying job, and now you're above 400% FPL, the entire subsidy could be clawed back. (congrats on the new job !)
