I don't think that's a kidney... not that there's anything wrong with eating kidney.

I can't do Kentucky Fried Chicken unless it is the only choice. I'll go out of my way for Popeye's Spicy fried chicken. Dark meat only thank you.

If it's edible and not poisonous, I'll try it. Being a Scandinavian I enjoy what a lot of folks consider...less than desirable.

Tough to get perspective on it, but it looks pretty big for a chicken kidney to me. Who knows.

I keep reading this thread and thinking, What's the big deal?? Kidneys are in chickens. If I accidentally got an organ in my chicken, I'd take it back up to the counter and quietly ask for a replacement breast, thigh, whatever.

I ate the hearts, livers, and gizzards, of both ducks we made at Christmas...
