I remember the time Kashila and I had an in-depth discussion about health care. We held opposing views, but our conversation was civil. He could be really mean to some people, but for some reason we got along even though we were so different.

He probably respected you because he could tell that you aren't an obnoxious ass.

I also miss Olddaze (who kept us loaded with topics), Jeeperman (our king of numerical minutae, Az, the incredibly knowledgeable guy who debated religions John perhaps but don't remember his username, Emerald Waters (more hoping she is ok than wanting to hear from her), Surfnrg (stories, music and things surfing, Godzilla (wrongly outed by the PNJ), Starman, Mark O'Brien...

I do not miss Keepgoingmouth (Randy who was Gene's lying, economic pimp of the seedy development of Perdido Key) and one who has been banned here and any of Gene's stupid socks.

Out of the blue, Keepgoingsouth sent me a PM on Facebook the other day and we had a short exchange. At the PNJ, I communicated with him (usually civil) and he didn't get nasty with me like he used to get into with Olddaze. OD didn't pull any punches with him and they had some "lively" exchanges. I didn't know that he was banned from here.

Growing up in the Perdido area, I miss the Perdido-specific threads. It was well used at the PNJ, but I don't think it would fly here. Olddaze, Pomullet, Surfnrg, KGS, and others that posted to the Perdido area are not over here at PDF.

Are ya'll talking about Randy 2331? I couldn't stand that guy. What about Blueman and the Sharkey? The two cops that used to post.

William Tallis was a character. He'd get so mad about the rich people. Pengi didn't post again after the money thing for her alleged colon cancer.

I haven't heard from Sharkey in a year or so. Someone, that obviously did not like his opinions, notified the SO....lol it backfired. He did not get a reprimand regarding his comments but because of his view point was assigned to start a new task force.

There's no upside career wise to post on forums...you might get outted and your career as a cop or other public servant ruined.

I like Blueman but it's been years since he was heard from.

I liked all our LEOs they brought a working perspective on a lot of issues..I wish they were here to comment on the shootings and give their input.

Of course I really miss retiredLEO a lot...I have some regrets about things I argued about with him but he was really one of the good guys.

Yes, he was a good guy. I still have his emails and it's hard to believe he's not here anymore.

Kashilla and GBBandit were the same. Ghandi is not funny.

Can you quit being stupid just for one day.

Your constant false accusations about me are stupid. Get a life. And clean your feet.

Retired Leo is missed. I remember way back a person called Rob. I remember the joy of conversation with Requiem who was one of the most intelligent posters I have ever conversed with on message boards....his understanding of the bible and history was exquisite....and I was very sad when he left. On the Navarre Beach thread we had wonderful characters around 2004 which is going on 9 years ago where there were battles about the leaseholds, and the operations of restaurants on the beach....some nasty stuff where one posters computer was hacked and his private conversation with his wife was posted where he basically said he was broke and tired of Navarre Beach and they were going to get the hell out.....very intrusive and personal stuff which was clearly illegal. I remember a female attorney who would post on the NB thread and would tell me how folks would never pay taxes on the beach....she went away......The sad thing is when people simply leave....you never know if they are ok....it was nice the way retired leo handled himself....he set a very high standard, but it should be the protocol for all when they do leave.

I always miss surf, and like in the old days....he is with us now with alias socks....his input on beach issues were the gold standard. Old Daze should be here now....and I cannot figure out why he does not post. I simply cannot figure out why star quit posting, she seemed so happy in PA with the grandchildren, and I miss her inside knowledge. I miss all the crazies on the maritime park....they were a hoot.......but most of all I miss the Skipper....he was a good man who had principles and character. I know I would anger him....but hell...I anger everybody.....his comments are sorely missed. I never could figure out some of the socks on the PNJ staff, but I would piss Earl off by writing after his opinion piece....and call him the "patrician", and he would chase me around the forum taking pot shots.

We had some great local historians who would bring a wealth of information....I have this image of a bearded fellow with suspenders who was wonderful talking about historic pensacola......I always was suspicious that Obrien was here and Moon....put never could prove it. The PNJ was not the same after Obrien left.

But it was ok for boredmom to attack first, right? You must have a huge filing system.

In edit....did you happen to copy and save the post where he apologized to her?

With your mom as the wheelman.

Ha ha...thats messed up man. You gotta have balls to live on the westside.

I have more balls than a bowling alley. You opened the door with your remark. I went through the door. Care to continue?

I'm not sore dude. I actually thought that was a pretty good one you put on me. Why are you always so touchy?

Because I have dreamsglore, sal and worm(wtm) attacking me constantly. I shouldn't expect attacks from a CCL, registered normal human being like you.
I'm one of the good guys: Voted for Bush and Romney, gun carrier, tax paying working class, retired military, home owner. Not like the typical low life scum liberals on this forum.

I forgot about Rick who was the son of some policeman or fireman, and who made a video about going to NY to protest 911 coverup. He created a local truther group and really would get wound up.....he seemed like a smart young man who had a great deal of energy, and I hope it found some happiness.......about four years ago he seemed very angry.

Oh God,Seaoat! Skippy was a big liar and made up stuff all the time. You must have missed his story of taking on 10 guys in a bar and knocking them all out? Req was funny but he was a liberal and they ate him up for that.

Welllllll, despite the many fun arguments Skipper and I indulged in over the years, my husband and I met him in person one time. I have little doubt that, had the urgent need arisen, Skipper could have easily taken out a few punks in a bar.

But that's just me.

I liked Skipper....and occasionally see his posts on the PNJ articles.
