Things to be thankful about this Thanksgiving 2012... Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT0E52S4EmrHw_fVOOfof4PuCOK1SVycjN8vpr6TmMt18sh4QZ4Zg

That I'm finally able to spend quality time with my family after spending years missing holidays, all to often, like this in defense of our country.

Additionally I truely enjoy watching and spending time with them on these special days as my children and their loved ones, who are now part of my family, extend my family even further.

Happy Thanksgiving to all...

We have that in common, DE. I am also thankful this year that I am finally able, after 8-years being away from home, to be spending this holiday with my family. When I was in Florida and Kansas I always spent holidays with "adopted families". But, I have spent many holidays alone when I was living up north and was not able to get off work to come home (college towns, so none of my friends were ever there for the holidays). Even if you're not a particularly religious person, or are not religious at all, spending Thanksgiving and Christmas alone truly sucks.

So thankful that I'll be with my family this year... and that is enough for me. I don't need think beyond that for anything else to be thankful for, because that is so important to me.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

My beliefs about God are somewhat personal. I generally call myself Agnostic. However I'm really more of a Pantheist.....

DE, what a beautiful song. I haven't heard it in decades. Thanks. And enjoy your thanksgiving with your family!

Hm! Thanks for pointing that out, PB. Because DE posts songs w/every post he makes, I didn't even listen to it. I have been a huge fan of Jethro Tull since I was 15 (pretty young, I know, since I'm only 40, but we can thank my mom for that). I'm gonna have to dig out my JT albums now, as they have been safely packed away since my most recent move.

While searching for an Ian Anderson bio this morning, I came across an interesting article written by the master himself. Since I'm always on the lookout for good articles about health care, I added it to OurOasis.

For those who may not visit our little niche, here's the article:

I love you Thank you, Neko. I know that not everyone here was able to spend yesterday with family, but I hope that everyone was at least able to spend the day with loved-ones.
