But, I have spent many holidays alone when I was living up north and was not able to get off work to come home (college towns, so none of my friends were ever there for the holidays). Even if you're not a particularly religious person, or are not religious at all, spending Thanksgiving and Christmas alone truly sucks.

So thankful that I'll be with my family this year... and that is enough for me. I don't need think beyond that for anything else to be thankful for, because that is so important to me.

Hm! Thanks for pointing that out, PB. Because DE posts songs w/every post he makes, I didn't even listen to it. I have been a huge fan of Jethro Tull since I was 15 (pretty young, I know, since I'm only 40, but we can thank my mom for that). I'm gonna have to dig out my JT albums now, as they have been safely packed away since my most recent move.
