I bought a Juiceman II at the yard sales this morning.
I then went on google to learn how to make V8 with raw vegetables.
I learned these are the ingredients in V8...

tomatoes
carrots
celery
beets
parsley
lettuce
watercress
spinach

So I bought the vegetables and I've got the $5 juicer all washed and ready to go. Wish me luck.

p.s. if anybody has any tips on how to make juice let me know.

I figured that might be the case because when I buy the low-salt V8 it tastes like shit till I add a lot of salt to it. lol

Don't tell anyone but I really like Clamato and I am afraid to look at what it's make from.....

I figure after I pay five bucks for the juicer and buy all the raw vegetables, a quart of homemade V8 is gonna cost me about $15. Let this be a lesson that yard sale stuff don't always pay off. lol

Oh I see.

p.s. don't open that page with your sound on cause it plays loud music that's some kind of combination between rap and reggae.

I get mine at WinnDixie....and no it's not a venereal disease....

I'm just not sure my stomach will let me consume tomato juice with clam juice.
I still haven't been able to get venison down yet.

Man, that's my favorite. Salt, worcestershire, more salt. Then more salt. Crushed red pepper and more salt.

My V8 consumption is a high blood pressure med company's dream come true.

Not bad with a little vodka, olive, pickled okra, celery, pepper and
salt either.

Hope you found a salt shaker at the garage sale too.

I've seen just about every salt shaker ever made at the garage sales.
I buy the weirdest of them.

I've been sittin here contemplatin on all the work it's gonna be to cut up the vegetables and then have to clean the juicer once it's finished.
I've convinced myself to put the whole thing off till tomorrow and instead I've got coupons for capt d's to get a bunch of fried shrimp and fish instead.

I juice almost every day. Best buy for carrots is Publix with 25 lbs for 15 dollars. Celery over powers everything pretty quickly. Bell Peppers juice well as does cucumbers. For me it just what is on sale. Juicers are a little messy to clean but the results are worth it. Every thing I have read says You are not supposed to store the juice. More later Good luck Wise choice..

I can vouch for what the juice does for hallmarkgrad. He can walk for miles without even breaking a sweat. I can barely keep up with him.

That music's been playin in the background ever since I opened that page. At first I didn't think I liked it but now it's really growin on me.

Possibly some Russian or Polish Vodka to help it keep longer.

Bob, here is the recipe that my wife uses for homemade V-8 juice.

5 pounds fully ripe tomatoes, chopped
2 cups celery,chopped
3 large onions,chopped
3 cloves garlic,minced
2 tablespoons sugar
salt,to taste
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
3 teaspoons prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon liquid hot sauce

On medium high heat bring the vegetables to a boil and boil gently for about 20 minutes. In a blender add a portion at a time process until smooth. Strain and discard pulp. Add seasonings. Chill.

She sometimes also adds carrots and spinach.

Hey Bob, I was curious about what kind of juicer you bought and looked it up. When I did I realized that it's the same kind my mom has owned for a about gajillion years. Here's a good, kind of dummy's guide video... and bonus: he's making V8.

I love my Clamato juice in beer... Yum.
