Undecided voters in focus group swing sharply toward Romney; Frank Luntz: ‘I’ve never seen anything like this’; CBS post-debate poll shows big win for Romney

Tonight, pollster Frank Luntz assembled a focus group consisting of undecided Colorado voters. By the end of tonight’s debate, the group had moved dramatically toward GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

At least half a dozen focus group members who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 now say they will vote for Romney. Virtually everyone in the group said that Romney won the debate and exceeded their expectations.

Luntz, who has been in the polling business for at least two decades, says he has never seen such a dramatic shift in opinion as a result of a debate

Two other focus groups also in Colorado overwhelmingly thought Obama had won the debate. Time will tell.
You know, come to think of it if Luntz has never seen anything like this before it may be an anomaly, something not quite representative about the group he had, or not.

I thought Obama was much better than last time, but he had nothing new to offer Americans. Same old stuff from the last four years. Makes you wonder how these focus groups are chosen when they come to different conclusions. It will be interesting to see what the polls say in 3 or 4 days.

Neko, America is horrible at setting a long term course of action and following through long term. Obama's plan is working like it or or not. Changing courses mid stream seems insane with the the trajectory improving to choose the Romney alternative of endless question marks. Obama's vision of a long term vision of investment in infrastructure, education, deficit reduction, advocacy for women's rights all combine for a better narrative. Romney came off as as an offensive CEO rude opponent who could not adequately answer the questions of his past.

Obama's plan isn't working. I don't know how you can think that Biden was so great in the VP debate last week but Romney was rude tonight.

Huh? Check my posts neko, I alluded to the fact that Biden laughed inappropriately, but you are changing the subject. My position is as stated.

Did you call Biden offensive and rude?

How am I changing the subject? The subject of this thread is the focus group tonight: Luntz group has big swing to Romney

Opinions are like certain parts of our anatomy pkr, so America taking 'risks' blah, blah, blah, have cost us dearly. All I am saying is we, as a nation, cannot agree on a a prudent course for the best interests of our future, forget guns, forget whatever nationalistic issue that is warm and fuzzy, let us join and implement a plan that makes sense for everyone. Changine dogma every 4 or 8 years keeps us from ever attaining a stable common goal. Thanks for telling me I suck as an American.

Can't recall the specifics of my characterization but I believe he acted inappropriately. Ryan is full of crap but Biden should not be guffawing during the debate, it was an embarrassment. I give little to no credibility to the Luntz group sponsored by who else, Fox. Nuff said.

Please provide a reliable link to that information.

This was not for tonights townhall meeting. This was about the last standard debate.

Sorry, can't remember where that information came from, perhaps it was something someone said on TV and not something on line.
