Trump Foundation agrees to dissolve under AG review

The New York Attorney General's office says the Trump Foundation has agreed to dissolve under judicial supervision, with review and approval by the Attorney General.

In a news release Tuesday, Attorney General Barbara Underwood said following a court decision in favor of the A.G., the Trump Foundation signed paperwork agreeing to give the state final approval of how the foundation distributes its remaining assets to charity.

Our petition detailed a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation – including unlawful coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing, and much more. This amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trump’s business and political interests.

Today’s stipulation accomplishes a key piece of the relief sought in our lawsuit earlier this year. Under the terms, the Trump Foundation can only dissolve under judicial supervision – and it can only distribute its remaining charitable assets to reputable organizations approved by my office.

This is an important victory for the rule of law, making clear that there is one set of rules for everyone. We’ll continue to move our suit forward to ensure that the Trump Foundation and its directors are held to account for their clear and repeated violations of state and federal law.

I'm hearing people (like Chris Matthews) thinking Trump will resign, maybe to spare his children prison.   They're really underestimating Trump's ego, and overestimating his love for those fugly kids.   The only kid he's got that he thinks anything of is Ivanka, and that's -- sickly enough -- because he thinks she's "hot."

There's no way Trump would ever admit defeat and quit. He's not going until they frog-march him out of there with his stubby little legs dangling and kicking. He's hoping to maintain enough of his blinkered idiot cult to monetize them with a TV channel, or at least some kind of YouTube scam. Those idiots are fully hooked and he's not going to do anything to let them get away from him... them screaming about how "Trump got cheat-ud!" is his entire future.

There is no pardon on these state charges. People will be going to jail. This is exactly the Tony Soprano abuse of charitable trusts where in Illinois they will get three years of prison for scams and abuse of the charity.......they are toast. All of them.

They didn't file criminal charges against them so they won't be going to jail. They just sued them.

Criminal Charges are guaranteed based on the facts presented. The New AG will bring criminal charges. I see them all the time in Illinois with charitable organizations which run this scam with running draw down, poker, or bingo. The mob in the first ward of Chicago has mastered this. They own the hall, they take half the take on rent, and just enough to play the players and kick a few hundred in the Charity.....Trump has been mobbed up since Fred was alive, and he was a quick learner.

Further, a criminal investigation into the Trump Foundation could find evidence of illegal activity beyond the accusations listed in the attorney general’s lawsuit. Such findings would essentially make it impossible for the Trump Foundation or the first family to avoid criminal charges.

No, Fred was connected and had an open file with the FBI, and when the sixth grader was getting all this press about getting things built in NY, everybody knew that the non interruption of concrete delivery to Trump sites when all of NY construction was union and big contractor controlled as they shut down most other construction during that era. In regard to the Casino failures......there are many theories these were failure by design which with his cutting his teeth with Roy the mob lawyer and he had plenty of indirect contact with the mob......and in that incubator this guy learned the mob way and I think if they look at who is shorting the markets which coordinate with his market killing tweets.....you will find Russian and American mobsters. Trump is monetizing the Presidency.

Trump would like to be a mob guy, he likes talking like Tony Soprano, and he likes to create the image that he's got mob connections because Trump has a tough-guy fetish and likes to surround himself with "strong men," be they Putin or Kim or whoever. But everybody's a tough guy... until they meet one. And Trump ain't one, and the mob guys know it. Trump's a marshmallow who probably couldn't bench-press one of his buddy's MyPillows. The mob likely did that to Trump through his casinos and building projects (through which he regularly scammed his workers and contractors):

They're going to go down defending this clown even while Russia's looting the store... and they'll still be waving the flag claiming they're the "patriots."
