This isn't just another irate leftist, it's the American BAR Association -- the professional organization every lawyer serving in congress belongs to. If the BAR association downs Kavanaugh his march to the Supreme Court is through.

Try to keep up, Word. Kavanaugh is already out of the committee and, pending an FBI investigation, up for a vote in the Senate.

The Republicans are playing whinning Democrats like they just fell off the cabbage wagon as they now can claim that they gave an additional fbi investigation, but so limited the scope as to guarantee the same quagmire of irrelevant evidence buried in the fog of memories. This was brilliant, and it gives folks a get out of jail free card.......the talking heads have been wrong every step of the way.......and they have swallowed this compromise hook, line, and sinker.

My experience in the quad cities which had people from Iowa and Illinois playing games in the casino were very outspoken how the whole hearings were a witch hunt.....it was funny how strong and outspoken they were.....not exactly what the talking heads are saying.....one older woman was angry about the way the judge was being treated.....and the hubris continues.

I think you need to get your meds adjusted, Seaoat, you're losing touch with reality.

Why.....I am getting to the point of being right so often that it is getting boring.....maybe I could over medicate and think like others who think the blue wave is upon us........now to get that high and so full of hubris might require me hitting the opiates hard......but I do not do opiates.

____He doesn't need to adjust his meds. He needs to come to the realization that 9 to 5 American workers are not hanging out in the casino gambling their meager wages away. Maybe a few are, I know there are those who ruin their lives because of addiction to gambling. But Seaoat seems to only hang with people who have the bucks to play in a game where the stakes are in the thousands.
You're not average Seaoat, you don't have a clue what average people think.

My career would contradict your conclusion, but that would require facts, and not assumptions. In regard to only rich people and addicts go to a casino.......now that is funny, and I get this message that you do not approve of dancing either....If you have never played live poker......Kevin is talking to you.

I'm hardly a prude Seaoat. I have nothing against gambling-I won 100 bucks at Santa Anita the last time I visited my brother in California. I'll probably go visit the horses again in February when I go back out there again. I have been to the casinos several times, but like "average Americans," I play the quarter and dollar slots and hope to get lucky. I don't play poker- that's a lot higher stakes and cost a lot more money. It's a totally different type of crowd that plays the tables than the crowd that plays the slots. You probably don't know that, because you probably wouldn't hang with the folks just over for a tour day to Biloxi. You've commented on winning thousands of dollars. You don't do that without risking a lot of money that most of us really do NOT have.
AND FYI, I even have the occasional hurricane or bahama mama, usually in New Orleans. I have nothing against anyone having one or 2 drinks. But my dad drank too much for several years and I lost an uncle to liver disease from alcoholism. No way would I EVER consider drinking to excess.
I ain't no church lady Seaoat. I haven't been inside a church in 16 years except for weddings or funerals. But I can tell a high roller from a tour gambler, and you are a high roller. Average Americans don't have that kind of money.

Oh, and by the way Seaoat, when you first got your medical marijuana prescription, I didn't have to ask you what kind of effect it had on you. I already knew.

Like I said, don't confuse me with a prude.

The attacks against the judge is a bunch of self righteous church ladies trying desperately to destroy this man as immoral.  He is not.  He will be confirmed. Too funny to see the senator in this skit.....caught up twenty years later in church lady revenge.

Speaking of conspiracy theories, here's a (half-baked, not really believed) one of my own: that Trump's newfound equanimity over the FBI investigation of Cav is because he's been promised nothing untoward will be found (read: revealed), such that the FBI can then return to the president's good graces.

No, what's more likely is that whatever IS found will be termed a con and a scam, all part of the Clinton conspiracy.

I don't know about that, he's been pretty hard on the FBI in his Twitter feed. I have a feeling they'd wouldn't mind sticking it to him just for fun.

What seems more likely to me is that he's been being civil because he knows it.

Hope you're right on all counts, and hope they CAN stick it to him.

The committee has already shifted the paradigm, and those who read and are capable of rudimentary comprehension understand the Flake compassion theatrical presentation......same routine he did with the Affordable Care Act, and the best part posters here called him flakey.....and now he is the hero.......like a mouse caught under the paw of the cat, folks celebrate that the cat has only put his paw on the mouse tail....geez are people being serious.

He's playing both sides of the fence. I called it. He could have said, "I vote no, pending a thorough FBI investigation." Instead, he voted to send it to the floor, pending a week-long investigation. Talk about theatrics. It is YOUR PARTY that's to blame for DRUMPF, not the Democrats. It's YOUR PARTY that's stealing everything in sight, not the Democrats. That hearing was a shit show all right, and it was YOUR PARTY doing the shoveling. As for Mrs. Sea, she probably just wanted you to STFU.
