Note there's currently a tropical storm warning from Ft. Walton/Destin east to just west of Apalachicola, where it changes to a hurricane warning.
Look out for high winds and some rain bands here late Sunday and through the day Monday, but as of this writing, this very far western tip of the Panhandle is the ONLY stretch of coast on the entire perimeter of the state that isn't under some type of watch or warning. So far.
All Pensacola Beach hotels were booked solid with refugees from east and south FL as of early Saturday afternoon. Paradise, the largest vacation rental outfit on the island, which manages hundreds of homes and condos, had only about 30 properties left to rent.
Irma's now back up to Category 4 as it approaches the Keys. Still an extremely dangerous storm. Sal, I just hope you're on high ground. Stay safe! Will be thinking of you.
