The President utters these words Saturday, and now with the massive blowback because of his failure to call out specifically evil, he holds an announcement in the next half hour. Too little too late. The hate groups got the message. We can just wait for another wink today.

Wish Trump could find the same anger for murderous Nazis as he did for Nordstrom after it stopped selling his daughter's handbags.

Trump is going to be pissed that he had to leave the golf course for this bullsh/t

Unbelievable. He starts the press conference talking about his great job in job creation bragging about one million jobs being created in 7 months in 2017. President Obama created 2 million jobs in 12 months in 2016 as he got the economy on track to lower unemployment and increase job creation. But why would anybody dishonor the moment to do the right thing by patting himself on the back for something which quite honestly is just a continuation of the economy which was given to him.

He then gives brief mention of the deceased young woman who died because of hate, and diverts over to a horrible helicopter accident that was just a normal deployment of law enforcement and elevates these deaths as he begins worshiping law enforcement. With all due respect for those police officers and the families who had a horrible loss in their routine duties which resulted in a horrible accident, this incident had nothing to do with the hate which killed this woman. By referencing this he dilutes the issue of hate which took this woman's life. Nor did he try to call this woman's family, or for that matter the families of the officers who were lost in an unrelated helicopter accident. He did extend his sympathy and prayers for those families. This man simply cannot fill the shoes of a president who actually care about people more than he cares about himself....he showed the same at the boy scout jamboree, and once again today he showed his asz.

Yep. There were two sides engaging in violence.

One side was using violence to terrorize citizens and trying to oppress everyone who disagrees with them.

The other side were using violence to resist those terrorists.

Yeah, "many sides" were using violence, but only one side was using violence in a bad way. Kicking the snot out of Nazis is not a bad thing to do.

If people don't like the violence done by Antifascist groups, then keep the fascists from marching and trying to intimidate towns. Then there'll be no need for Antifascists. They don't show up for anything except resisting Nazis. Until society takes a stand against 'em and says, "Nope, not here, you don't," then this is how Nazis need to be dealt with. Nothing else works on them. Even Hitler admitted that much. Our grandfathers had the right method of dealing with Nazis.

Every time these bastards show up, the National Guard should be there in force to meet them, as they would any other enemies of America that showed up in our cities. They're waving the flags of the enemies of the United States, it's clear what they are.

A few here -- who'll get no peace from me from this point onward now that I've seen the measure of what you are -- try to make excuses for these bigots just because they're also right-wing. But being right-wing doesn't mean you excuse this. Anyone who hates "the left" so much that they'll take up for white supremacists has played themselves. Many Republicans have spoken out against it, and kudos for them. Unfortunately, Trump is too weak to call it what it is. He may do so now because he knows he's gotten a bad reaction, but the fact that you have to pressure someone to speak out against Nazis is pathetic. That is, literally, the least controversial thing anyone in America would ever have to do... and Trump is so needy for support he couldn't even manage to do that.

Trump needs to come out forcefully against these groups and tell them he doesn't want their support. Then he needs to kick Bannon, Miller, and Gorka out of his cabal. Then, and only then, will he even approach integrity on this issue. Otherwise he needs to pack up and leave. No one who can't stand up to Nazis should have the job that he has.

Why do we have a @POTUS whose every statement has to be "clarified"?

Never forget he couldn't denounce racism without congratulating himself for an economy he called terrible when it was led by a black man.
