MORE Great News!

Trump signs executive orders reviving Keystone, Dakota Access pipelines
Published January 24, 2017 FoxNews.com

President Trump signed executive orders on Tuesday effectively reviving the controversial Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, which had been stalled by the Obama administration under pressure from environmental and other groups.

The president said the projects would be subject to a “renegotiation of the terms.” But he made clear the government was resuming consideration for both pipelines, describing them as a potential job boon.

“We’re going to put a lot of … steel workers back to work,” Trump said. “We’ll build our own pipelines, we will build our own pipes.”

Terrible decision, and won't create any appreciable long term jobs.

The purpose is to transport oil sands.

How long do the jobs continue after a bridge is built?

So get ready for gas prices to go up because you cant make money from oil sands at what we are paying now. I worked in Fort Mcmurray Alberta Canada earlier this year and not much was going on because of oil prices.

I have always been a proponent for both pipelines.

The crux of the matter for both is radical climate change activism. The activists don't want any oil produced anywhere in the world and they want oil production shutdown immediately. Both are pie-in-the-sky desires.

Whether it is burned or not, petroleum is needed. It goes into everything you touch in today's modern era. From the energy used to make a lot of things go, to materials used for construction and to make things, to medicines and a host of other things. The infrastructure for the renewable future that the world is trending toward, as well as the materials used to harness renewable energy so we can use it, will NOT be built without petroleum.

Summarily shut down petroleum production and you are guaranteeing mass starvation of humanity (10 calories of fossil fuels goes into every food calorie you consume), social chaos, and ultimately, war.

The pipelines represent a better alternative to transporting oil from Canada and North Dakota, as opposed to shipping it via unit-trains.

Halting construction of the pipelines has done nothing to delay any oil production from Canada or ND, and will not do so in the immediate future.

Your ignorance on the safety of transporting oil is not surprising.
