Will former Gov. of IL and good friend of Lame Duck President Barack Hussein Obama have his sentence commuted as Obama slips out in the night.

BLAGOJEVICH SEEKS PRESIDENTIAL COMMUTATION OF PRISON TERM

CHICAGO (AP) -- Imprisoned former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is seeking a presidential commutation of his 14-year sentence on a corruption conviction.

U.S. Department of Justice spokeswoman Dena Iverson said Friday the department has received a petition for commutation from Blagojevich. She declined to comment further.

The Chicago Democrat was sentenced in 2011 following his conviction for trying to exchange an appointment to President Barack Obama's former U.S. Senate seat for campaign cash.

An appeals court last year struck down five of his 18 convictions and ordered a new sentencing, but a judge this year upheld the 14-year term

Rod Blagojevich and his close friend Tony Rezko were both clients of the law firm where Barack Hussein Obama was an entry level attorney and where he met Michelle.

Rod's wife was the Obama's real estate agent when they bought their mansion near the home of their priest, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Tony Rezko helped the Obama's and purchased a 40' strip of land from the same owner to the adjoining vacant lot which featured the formal garden of the mansion. The Obama's could not afford the house and vacant lot.

Oh, Tony Rezko is also a convicted felon and is serving time as well as Rod.
