WASHINGTON — The special congressional investigation into the 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi is officially over now that the panel filed its final report the day before the House adjourned for the year.

The panel, which spent more than $7.8 million over two and a half years, disbanded at the end of the 114th Congress, before a new Congress begins in January.

Begun by yet another leftist lie and cover up... right before an election. Dirty... and certainly worth investigating... and it forced the disclosure of Hillary's email server. Even worth continued investigation now that the obfuscation and obstruction can be cut through... by the same power that the partisan leftist Bureaucrats hid behind. That goes for gun running to Mexican cartels, media wiretapping, irs targeting... etc.

It was a political witch hunt which compared with the 1950's abuse of the legislative process. It found nothing. There will be no criminal sanctions, not because President elect Trump has deemed it appropriate, but because there clearly never was any violation of the law. It was hardball politics designed to damage the reputation of a candidate for President, and it was successful. When folks on this forum who are reasonably intelligent and after being told the clear standard for violation of the law repeatedly got it wrong, you suspect those who designed this dirty tricks campaign knew it would sell with the American people. However, when the FBI director clearly stated that there was NO crime, the outrage of the co-conspirators only left one out, and that was to politicize the FBI. Now this is not all the fault of those conducting the political witch hunt because when a former President meets with the AG at the airport when there was an active investigation of his wife, then Justice was neutered from doing their job and allowed unprecedented discretion to the FBI. That part of the plan was entirely the careless behavior of a former President.
