How did our top weapons techologies become so terribly deficient?

Trump claims he'll rebuild our military.  Hillary's a hawk.  We're involved in wars with mostly third world opponents ... thus far.  In battles involving IEDs, rifles, machineguns, mortars, and no opposing aircraft.  In battles where a tank -- ANY TANK -- and armored MRAPS bring battlefield domination.

One thing for certain, our MIC counts pennies.  And it's a helluva lot cheaper to keep producing a weapon that was tooled back in the 70s or 80s then it is to invest heavily in R&D and retooling, in order to produce something new that will bring domination in a combat situation.  Which explains why we're still building outdated tanks.

But consider:  If we choose to take on Russia or China, we're in deep shit.  Their latest aircraft, tanks, artillery, missiles and their electronic detection, guidance control systems make ours look primitive.

Their electronics are more advanced than ours.  With little effort they can invade and infect or control our most sophisticated computer security systems.  They've hacked into our Pentagon computers and computers of the State department, the DNC etc., so easily it's embarrassing!  Face it my fellow Americans, we're so far behind we may not have time to catch up.

Meanwhile, your military leaders and the Pentagon keep ordering Abrams tanks and aircraft carriers, and new fighting ships.

It was exactly this kind of thinking that led us into the first actions of WWII still flying biplane fighters, and with a reliance on battleships and cruisers, instead of aircraft carriers.

If we go to war against Russia or China, ships and aircraft will be meaningless.  Bullets and bombs and rockets aren't necessary to make a technologically oriented enemy totally helpless -- not if you can get inside and control his most critical computer-driven systems.  When you have that kind of technological superiority, you can shut down  your opponent's electrical grid, transportation control systems, communications, and command and control systems.  You don't need to invade or bomb.  Within a few weeks your opponents citizens are dying of thirst and starvation, and there's no TV.

How long do you think Americans would last without TV?  Radio? Gas stations? Walmart?

Yessirree sir, what we need, Trump tells us, is to rebuild our military with more ships, planes and tanks.   And Hillary thinks the same way, read her history.

We're forced to follow what our generals at the Pentagon say we need to do.  And all of them are looking forward to being employed by the MIC as soon as they retire.  No wonder we're still building second rate tanks, aircraft carriers and war ships!  Our military leaders are still running on Cold War technologies and battle strategies.

Name a war we've fought and won decisively in the last twenty years.
And name a war where we've been up against an enemy with modern technological weaponry.

Face it:  We're steadily losing our technological superiority to modern countries who appear to know more about computer systems than we do.  I heard yesterday that Russia is replacing all Windows computers in their country with proprietary operating systems.  Systems they know that are more effective than what they can buy from us.

The Abrams was designed in the 1970s and its still our main battle tank.
The latest Sukhoi fighters can run circles around our F35.

Reality.

Down with Amerika Inc., corporate control of our government through corrupt campaign financing.
