No surprise, NAACP tells black parents that it's not about educating their kids, it's about MONEY!

NAACP Tells Black Parents To Keep Their Kids In Crappy Schools As Leverage For Tax Hikes
If they cared about black kids' futures, the NAACP would be begging more charter schools to open as fast as possible, not demanding the opposite.

Despite public resistance by black leaders across the political spectrum against this impending decision, the NAACP Saturday released yet another resolution condemning school choice and calling for a nationwide ban on new charter schools.

“The NAACP opposes privatization of public schools and public subsidizing or funding of for-profit or charter schools,” the organization said in a statement. “Privatization of public schools” is survey-tested union talk attempting to manipulate people into disliking the idea of a more diverse ecosystem of publicly funded education through mechanisms such as vouchers, education savings accounts, and charter schools. These allow all families to have the same opportunities to attend schools of choice, as rich families do.

No wonder he wore a yellow jacket, he does not realize the wealth divide in housing among white families and black families.........idiocy. Charter school failures are epic......a band aide which makes the fascist happy, because it takes the eye off the wealth divide and the inequity of property tax funding of schools. It would be good for you to learn the facts.  

Why do you and other Progressives demand that low-income and minority households be deprived of the same choices as middle and higher income people?

DC Schools: $29,349 Per Pupil, 83% Not Proficient in Reading

The public schools in Washington, D.C., spent $29,349 per pupil in the 2010-2011 school year, according to the latest data from National Center for Education Statistics, but in 2013 fully 83 percent of the eighth graders in these schools were not "proficient" in reading and 81 percent were not "proficient" in math.

These are the government schools in our nation's capital city — where for decades politicians of both parties have obstreperously pushed for more federal involvement in education and more federal spending on education.

Government has manifestly failed the families who must send their children to these schools, and the children who must attend them.

I have gone into the schools and seen the worn out facilities, and then see the suburb schools with the larger tax base.....your lies are racist, and they support the proposition that black kids are inferior......how about equal funding for all kids, and stop with the trump scam that charter schools and Trump schools do anything but take money. National Education Association General Counsel Bob Chanin stated in July 2009.

Chanin: "It is not because we care about children. And it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power. And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues...."

You're accusing progressives of favoring unequal education...your whole premise is a lie. Charter schools...a favorite of former FL governor Jeb Bush...unless they're promoted and managed at the local level, are known for skimming funds, lying about test scores, and cheating their employees, not to mention leaving students in midterm trying to find alternatives to their failed schools when management takes the money and runs...and that money is taxpayer dollars that should have gone to public schools and core education.

Then you're trying desperately to make it racial, which it can be, but the basic issue is a supposed solution to a problem that doesn't exist and is worse than any perceived problem could be.
