Media profiteering off hurricanes kills people

The media has a sure fire formula to make money.   Overstate every threat, and get viewers to lock in to information flowing from the media which could be life or death for people in the general area of a hurricane.  I watched Brian Williams say nothing for an hour.  He repeated himself, gave no relevant information as utter incompetence in field reporting showed boats bobbing in a river ten miles from the ocean.  People listened and there was mass evacuation based on utter uncertainty as to the path of the hurricane, yet media acts like they have projections which they ALWAYS over state.   They profit, and the next killer hurricane will kill more because people tire of the cry of wolf.

You are correct. Stephanie Abrams of twc standing by St Johns River said downtown Jax will not get flooded. On storm2k someone who is there reported St Johns river which flows from south to north is creating flooding. So who to believe? I cannot believe it is not spilling over it's banks since the Atlantic is spewing water into the tributaries. I can hear the crying now about insurance company's won't pay for flood damage. I wonder how many have flood insurance?

That is right . Matthew literally destroyed Dora's record. It is incredible and it is still rising.

Also, for those familiar with the Jacksonville Landing, the moving swayingng concrete dock in front of the Landing is taking some structural damage and water is bedinning to flood over portions of that dock on the St. Johns River.

Since we have record storm surge on the St. Johns now, there is going to be significant flooding in the tributaries in Jax ss well.

Good holy grief. What will they think of next??? Never mind -- don't answer that question. The answer would likely be too outrageously ridic.
