Hillary Clinton comments on Bernie Sanders supporters in leaked recording

Last Updated Oct 1, 2016 3:40 PM EDT

A leaked audio recording of Hillary Clinton at a February fundraiser shows the Democratic presidential candidate had once painted a wide swath of Bernie Sanders supporters as idealists “new to politics completely” who are “living in their parents’ basement” -- though she stressed at the time the need to understand their frustrations with the economy.

You have a point here?  We Bernie supporters know very well how Bernie was cheated by Hillary and crowd.  But what choice do we have? The Dummy with the dead rat on his head, or the dummy who wants to know what Aleppo is?

It's pretty clear; the abyss between those who support Trump and the rest of America (including all the republicans who won't vote for him) assures that once elected, neither Hillary nor Trump will be able to get anything done.  For classic raw capitalism and a country run by filthy rich bloodsuckers, it's the end of the line.  Americans no longer believe in their government, raw capitalism, the justice system, the healthcare system, or their military leaders.

The good news is, social media and the internet make it virtually impossible for the bad guys and gals to hide their crimes.  The polls claim Hillary will win.  If she does, she won't be able to emit a silent fart without the world knowing it in real time.

Amerika Inc., the country that's evolved since the founding fathers created this country for the rich, of the rich and by the rich, is finally fucking doomed.

It's about time!

Down with Amerika Inc., corporate control of our government through corrupt campaign financing.

I saw Senator Sanders responding to this recording and he basically felt as if Hillary was acknowledging the existence of the real issues that the college age voters were concerned about. Far from being disrespectful toward them it looked as if she was validating their concerns. She now supports free tuition to state schools for children of parents making below a certain yearly income. She wouldn't have taken that on had it not been for Bernie. She knows this is a real issue.

You could also read "new to politics" as having tapped into the voters who are now old enough to vote, who wouldn't want to appeal to this group? This is a good thing. Anyone hoping to help the middle class should welcome the support of people who want to better themselves.

So put all THAT in your pipe and smoke it, Markle. Seriously -- how about trying to look on the positive side of something for once?

Bernie Sanders defends Clinton over leaked comments on his supporters

Bernie Sanders on Sunday defended Hillary Clinton over recorded remarks that Republicans said demeaned his supporters but which he said were entirely in line with his beliefs.

On Sunday, Sanders said he was in full agreement with Clinton, whom he has endorsed and campaigned with despite their disagreements on issues such as hydraulic fracking and foreign intervention.

“I agree with her,” Sanders told CNN’s State of the Union. “There are young people who went deeply into debt, worked very hard to get a good education – they are living in their parents’ basements and that’s the point there.”

The Vermont senator urged his supporters to “take a hard look at Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, take a hard look at the needs of the American people, issue by issue”.

He then rattled off issues on which he and Clinton both want reform, including climate change, money in politics, pay equity for women and taxes on the highest earners.

“The bottom line here is that since the [primary] election, Secretary Clinton has worked with me,” Sanders said. “Clinton is far and away the superior candidate.”

In particular, Sanders excoriated Trump over his alleged failure to pay federal income taxes, possibly for as long as 18 years after a nearly billion-dollar business loss.

“People who voted for me,” he said, “[will] take a hard look at what he stands for, and understand where he’s coming from, [and] will not be supporting him.”

[b] Hillary said that anyone whose temper is such that they're up at three in the morning Tweeting angry messages, shouldn't have their fingers near the nuclear codes. That's absolute truth. And Markle, why are you too embarrassed and afraid to admit that you were wrong, and that American cops do indeed shoot down African-American women?b]

I have watched Senator Sanders for years. I was so impressed by his filibuster against renewing the Bush tax cuts (2010) that I read the book. It's somewhat repetitious, as you would expect a filibuster to be from a man who's been singing the same song for decades. He's brilliant and compassionate...something we would like to see in all our public officials...sadly lacking in the GOP nominee.
