If you are horrified where America is today, do not be surprised by a Trump election

I used to think that there was zero chance a fascist could be elected President, and then I saw the response to folks being shot by our police state and have these vivid memories of my graduate studies how the German People ate up what Hitler was selling and who closed their eyes to the evil. People are wearing Trump hats and wanting 15 million people deported and certain religious beliefs to have identity cards........and they rationalize the police state as necessary. These are the scariest times in my life. I am disgusted that courage is no longer a central tenet of being an American. Where cowardice has become the new mantra. Trump has a very good chance of being elected where the American people no longer value justice and equal protection, and have traded the same for a police state.

And according to the polls this morning he's up.

Its worse.......there is no United States to come to the rescue. When our citizens march to fascism and dog whistles.......the world is at risk.

Nobody has implemented a larger facsist program in our country (obamacaid) than obama... ever... period. Its amazing what a leftist can ignore when its their chosen dear leader. Congratulations on the blinders comrades. Very useful.

Pk.....sign up at the local Junior College in Michigan and take an entry level political science course where they actual define political terms. You will find that fascism is polar opposite of socialism, and we all know that cooperative shared government subsidized health care for citizens is NOT fascism, but heck you have mastered Orwellian doublethink and simply you calling something fascist does not make it the same. Fascism is deporting 15 million mixed American families who are Mexican, or asking those of a particular religion to have identity cards. When will the livestock train show up in your town to gather the undocumented and put them in cattle cars.....oh that is right.....their health insurance is what is fascist.....my bad.

socialism would've been the govt takeover of healthcare... the single payer you so desired. The solution obama shoved down our throat was a collusion with corporations. Its really not very difficult to objectively see that its true, and useful that you can't.

Here is the deal. If the fascist win and attempts to deport mixed American families where a parent or both do not have documentation, and the result is American children are deported with their parents, I will personally spend the last portion of my life in civil disobediance fighting for the rights of those American children to keep their family together in America. If we as Americans are going to stand by and let Muslims be banned from America and Americans deported because their parents need documentation......to hell with the status quo, it is time to revolt.

A health insurance program which expands health insurance to 15 million people who had no insurance is simply an insurance pool which using tax policy rewards the expansion of the insurance pool and punishes those who do not participate in the pool. Insurance pools are by their very definition socialistic, where pooling of resources to benefit the individual is the rule. The rest of your home grown definitions are simply wrong by the science which has evolved to define political terms. It is either bumbling ignorance or wilful lying, but in any case equally wrong and like talking to a first grader trying to describe the alternative minimum tax.......foolish from the git go.

It's no surprise to me that you can't see the obvious when it's ideologically inconvenient. I've grown used to it.

It is disconcerting.

Last night he was making the claim that the African-American protestors across the country are inspired by and supporters of the Dallas shooter.

This is not only false, it intentionally stokes fear, and menace, and racial hatred.

Authoritarian figures require violence and disorder to enable them to take control.

That is what Trump is seeking to incite.
