Sal is right. Other than Vietnam, the boomer generation had it pretty easy. Good jobs were plentiful. Much more so than the generation which preceded us who had to live through a depression followed by a World War, and much more than the generations after us who are struggling to compete with Asian labor.
Let's face it, in general (and yes of course there are exceptions), us boomers are economically much better off than the younger folk.
