Watched three quarters of the Bull game and saw the best team in 15 years in the NBA. The Warriors are just that good. I will check the final score online, but I saw enough. I could spread out in the booth and stick my feet out. The review were right, cheap drinks, surprise decor and size when you get into the building, you need to make a u turn to get in the place, the bathrooms need updating, but the food is reasonable and pretty good. A little salty for my tastes but better the Pace Mexican restaurant. What will have us returning is the guacamole dip for less than five bucks. It was freshly made and they gave a huge quantity. Nobody rushed us out when we were done. However, when we first got there drunks were rolling out the front door....2 for 1, and saw a lesbian couple sit at the bar and order these huge margaritas with two straws, and they had two.......did not see a designated driver.

I did not even get upset with the score or effort the Bulls gave. The Warriors team ball movement is exceptional, but what impressed me most was their rebounding. The Bulls lead the league, and the Warriors dominated second chance offensive rebounds, and so much of that is the ball movement and having rebounders in position......Best damn team in almost twenty years.....nobody is close to this team. The spurs may give them a game....but I doubt it.

They are amazing....I'm still shocked at the behaviour of the Cavs. LeBron lost his composure and it was not a good thing.

He is throwing bricks and is not on a very good TEAM. Curry is clearly the best player in the league for the last two years on an amazing TEAM, and James is done getting rings. Two rings will put him below so many that I think in the final ratings he will be lucky to be top 10......and he realizes his legacy requires more than two measly rings where he has gotten the reputation of close but never the cigar. If it was not for Bosh and Wade, he would have none. Charles Barkley territory. He is crying more to the refs because all he has left is to bull rush the basket and use his forearm to push people out of his way, and the refs have been calling him out, and not calling his flops. We will see how he does Saturday against a depleted Bull squad that has been missing starter Dunlevy all year, and now Noah.....the Bulls are going to have to get help from their younger players, and right now Irving is looking good, but Love is still out of sync.

Maybe end of February/ March. I am working on a project which some days we are 11 hours in the field. Yesterday, I hand raked the dirt road system we seeded for the rain tonight, and did not sleep a lick because I was so sore, and still hurt. I have a plastic chair where I work for five minutes and rest for five minutes, and my lung functions keep getting better each day as I am pushing the limit physically, but the blood is pumping and the air has been so clean. In Illinois I cannot get outside and I literally sit in my chair twenty hours a day in the sub freezing very cold winter as I fought six weeks of pneumonia. Part of what I am dealing with now is that the hormones which have been elevated for at least eight years begin to attack the right side of my heart and valves. The exercise I am forcing through work, I am convinced is helping me stay alive. I have shots on monday and a chest cat scan because of the six weeks of lung issues, and meet with the pulmonary specialist on thursday to review the cat scans. This last project is my memorial. I will not be specific, but time is of the essence and after the Super Bowl Party, we will be back down, but February we will be going to South Florida for about two weeks, but will have about three weeks in late February to mid march to set a lunch date because my family will be down to see my memorial the last week of march and I will be with them that week. Figure if you are in town the week of March 10, of course this assumes things will not be getting worse with the cat scans.

I'll be here.  And it all depends on what my cat scans say too.  I get the next one on Monday.
So if we wait until then,  it might be too late.

If anybody gets bad news, I will take a day in February when we return after the Super Bowl party.

Cancer is a bizarre thing.

My longtime yard sale partner in crime (who I've often referred to here as the Cheapest Person Who Ever Lived),  was first diagnosed with "Lymphoma" a couple of days before Christmas.  First they thought he had a plugged up salivary gland.  Then they decided the swelling in his cheek was a swollen lymph gland.
And here it is only a month later,  and he's already had to be hospitalized to get a blood transfusion and overnight last night he had his first 7 hour session of chemotherapy.

I,  on the other hand,  was diagnosed with "Lymphoma" almost 2 1/2 years ago.
And as of now, I'm still symptom free.  With no treatment of any kind.
They're just  monitoring it with regular blood tests and CT scans.

For all our sakes,  I hope what Obama said in his State of the Union speech is not just bullshit.  Because there seems to be an epidemic of cancer happening.

I'm betting that before it was over for him,  Steve McQueen was probably eating honey.

So before it's over for me,  if I give in and fall prey to the snake oil salesmen too,  at least I'll know I'm in the same company as a bigtime movie star.  lol

Cancer is a bizarre thing.

It is. I should be dead. A receptionist who worried about me every day for three years is dead. She had no idea while worrying about me that she had lung cancer. She died in nine months and I am still here. I ask my oncologist.....what is the time table.....he replies "it is variable", he then like clockwork asks me how my symptoms have been, and I reply...."they are variable". we both laugh, but last summer when he would not look me in the eye and scheduled me for three surgeries on my liver.....I was in deep trouble. I am getting weaker, and the damn lungs seem to be failing.....not the way you want to go. The liver, or heart failure goes pretty quick, but lungs are not what I would wish on anybody. So hopefully we will both be feeling well in March.

One,  if honey is able to do such good to humans,  it sure didn't help the bees very much.  Because that old saying "they're dropping like flies",  can now be changed to "they're dropping like bees".  lol

But then again,  maybe when so many of the bees "dropped",  that did away with the honey and that's why there's an epidemic of human cancer.
But of course it was something humans did to cause the bees to drop to begin with.

Whatever the cause of this cancer epidemic is,  I'd be willing to wager it's because we've done that unpardonable sin.  We've "Messed with Mother Nature".
And this is a little different kind of sin than the one we usually think of.
After this sin,  we can't just ask some sky daddy to forgive us.
Mother Nature might be female,  but she doesn't speak English.  Or any other human language.

We need to look at all the preservatives in our food.

It could be any number of things happening and maybe a combination of things.
We're effing up our food,  AND our water,  AND our air.
We're introducing toxic substances into the environment in so many different ways.
We're "bio-engineering" our plant seeds.  Feeding antibiotics and steroids to our livestock.  And god only knows what's happening that we don't even know about.

It all leads to a question I've been having a lot lately.  Will science and technology be our downfall?  Or will it be our saviour?
If it ends up being our saviour,  it's only because we needed a saviour primarily because of the technological advances to begin with.

But it's also possible that our advances in science and technology will create problems for us that our science and technology cannot solve.

Time will tell.

They already have...and one way this happens is that people are becoming more isolated and encapsulated in their virtual experience...to the detriment of "real life". (I know this doesn't apply to my loquacious friends here on our virtual forum... Cool )...

Going outside now...I have so much yard work to do it's frightening...I really need a tree expert...also...
