I read in another article the Navy wants to launch drone swarms from smaller ships to take the pressure off of its very expensive carriers.

Our Carrier groups are like the French building the best technology for the last war. They are expensive and they are the core of our taking aggression to other nations. However, with tactical nuclear weapons our carrier groups in an engagement with the North Koreans would be gone with clumsy delivery systems which could be twenty five miles away and cause huge losses, and our 38k American troops hostages to use of the same on the land battle. Do we then go nuclear in our tactical response......do we target areas where the collateral damage can be controlled or does a nuclear response open the door for strategic responses by the Koreans with stealth secondary strike capability on our mainland by smuggled small nuclear devices. North Korea is the real deal and the MIC and oil folks get kind of quiet in this regard because it is the real deal, not a staged place to dump weapons and make a profit. Caution and diplomacy must address NP.
