Krauthammer: Libya, Egypt Embassy Attacks are the "Fruits" of Obama's Appeasement and Apology

What we are seeing on the screen is the meltdown, collapse of the Obama policy on the Muslim world," Charles Krauthammer said on the panel segment of FOX News' "Special Report" tonight. "The irony is that it began in Cairo, in the same place where the speech he made in the beginning of his presidency in which he said, you wanted a new beginning with mutual respect, implying under the other presidents, particularly Bush, there was a lack of mutual respect. Which was an insult to the United States, which had gone to war six times in the last 20 years on behalf of oppressed Muslims, in Kuwait, in Kosovo, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere."

"So to imply that we somehow had mistreated Muslims which was the premise of his speech and how the Iraq War had inflamed the Arab world against us. Well there was no storming of the U.S. embassy in Cairo in those days," the FOX News contributor and syndicated columnist said.

"What we're seeing now is al-Qaeda developing in Libya, meltdown of our relations with Egypt, you have riots in Yemen, attacks on our embassy in Tunisia. This entire premise that we want to be loved and respected, we'll apologize, has now yielded all of these results and these are the fruits of apology and retreat and lack of confidence in our own principles," Krauthammer concluded

Really........are these posts serious? Weakness and strength of the United States has relevancy in nationalistic revolutions throughout the Middle East? Really? Thankfully we have intelligent people in State and the CIA who are tirelessly working to leverage this unrest and expand the same in Syria and Iran. Rand Paul gets up on the senate and starts talking about cutting all aid to Libya, Egypt, and Pakistan. An immediate knee jerk reaction. However, Senator Kerry gets up and asks senator Paul....have you been to Libya.....have you been to Egypt......have you been to Pakistan.......Paul does not answer the senator.

We have people who simply not intelligent enough to handle international relations. Are we going to punish all the people in Egypt for the acts of a few? Are we going to take a nation who has nuclear weapons and foresake that government only to have radical islam take over the bombs which we are now willing to start a war with Iran? After forty years of dictatorship and the worse abuses, we are going to foresake the Libyan people because of a coordinated and intentional military action by yet unidentified agents of someone.........Yes, when I see Americans suffering in American hospitals, I want resources going to Americans, and yes foreign aid must be looked at, but knee jerk reactions or huffing and puffing and thinking that military power is a solution......children pretending to be adults.....we need intelligent adults.

We made the mess over there ..we removed every stable leader these people had and now blowback....we are idiots and the biggest ones are in the CIA.

T.....please do not take up poker. You may loose the FEMA trailer. You look at interconnections. You see design where others do not see design. Who gains by the unrest in Egypt and Syria, and the possible expansion into Iran. Who gains by a neutralized Libya and Iraq?

Now you want to blame president Obama? In my mind it is clear that our CIA and State have their fingerprints all over the arab spring.....but they are not alone.

Okay Saddam was a thug by our definition and so was qaddafi and Assad may be but they were what they had to be to manage by terror a mixed group of religious zealots that would be constantly killing each other IF they didn't fear the wrath of their leadership. We don't understand them and trying to make them into soccer moms is just plain idiotic. Also our leadership is not above using terror...remember WACO ?

Who gains by the unrest in Egypt and Syria, and the possible expansion into Iran.
